Another week folks. Just in case you missed it, AQ posted the following at 12:41 a.m. Sunday morning:
Good morning. 10.10 am. Yawn. Couldn’t get to sleep last night plus we lost an hour as daylight saving started. Tiring but such an exciting day yesterday watching Daughter#2 look at 100s and try on dozens of wedding dresses. Funny (strange funny), that she wants me involved. For my wedding I was busy fending off my mother as, being the last of the flock to marry, she had developed a set of traditions/customs that were essential. Hm, I won some, lost some. As Dau#2 has been living away from home for several years, I am quite happy to sit back and let her decide her day.
Annette. Until you learn the new appliances are you eating out of a can beside a campfire in the backyard? Or on a diet of salads? LOL
Diane. Later I shall post some photos of Pacific black ducks on the Backyard gallery. Loved the Kakapo video – thanks for the link.
Morning all from TI,
No garters or thongs in evidence here today.
Weather is sunny but cold.
Temp 8.7c , Wind WNW 9mph , Visibility 45kms , Pressure 1011hPa rising.
Morning Alan, no garters or thongs here either. Much cooler than yesterday when we had a lot of rain. No sun at all and heavy rain forecast for later. Winter is definitely on the way. Is Hamish off for a walk to day?
Margobird
Good morning Cirrus you feel the same way as I do about darling Mallachie. She will leave when she is good and ready. I am hoping that Rothes is more or less settled now, once she finds the right island for her needs, lots of fish etc. Have a good day.
Morning auntie sounds dreadful there. We had rain most of the day yesterday but no strong winds and temperature in double figures. Keep warm and have a good day.
You too, Margobird. I am also hoping Rothes is where she is for 'the duration' .
Margobird : Hamish has had his early morning walk and I will take him out again later. Just dropped off Lady P in Peterborough. She is on a "would you believe it" Christmas Shopping Mission. I on the other hand have a Car Cleaning Mission to attend to. Which is best Christmas Shopping or Car cleaning? FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No contest Alan. CAR CLEANING !!
Squirrel on Abernethy feeder :)
Alan I went shopping yesterday and was somewhat put off by the that there is so much Christmas stuff in the shops already. I am definitely not into Christmas shopping just yet so I think I agree with Cirrus that car cleaning is better at the moment.
;) as far as I am concerned Margobird, car cleaning wins ALL the time. I loathe shopping ...... but , Christmas shopping even worse. Lady P does well to 'get it off the list' .
I have my RSPB Christmas cards which will all be in the post 3 Dec except the overseas ones which will be earlier I suppose. Fortunately for me I have a family agreement - I send birthday presents but not Christmas presents. It's just not possible to get so many presents 'all at once' - and all the children and babies. (In the past it has often been a nightmare) I buy three, for very special people ( a lady who sort of 'fostered' me when I was in the junior school is one - it wasn't a 'legal' thing - just something she did ) I had a lady who did a similar thing when I was a teen but she is no longer with us. And there are 'extraneous' gifts I send, just because, throughout the year.
Good hunting Lady P hope your mission is over the top successful.
I also hate Christmas Shopping and we always say we are going to cut down on the presents but we never do. We have 11 grandchildren between us so it is getting to be an expensive business.
Beautiful pictures fron Rhum this morning. Looks like the weather is good there.
