In response to the demand for an osprey chat thread I am now making one for September 2011. I guess there will be quite a bit to chat about given the success of the extension thread.

Thanks Moffer for the update. Einon certainly didnt dally on the way... Hope the other two get off OK when this wild weather dies down.

"TRACKING LATEST: There'll be news tomorrow. Computers were down over the weekend, so Jayne here in the office will check on the latest tomorrow, and post a comment with news.
I'm on leave from tomorrow, so I'll write a new blog post on my return. Please be patient. Thanks"

If LG is shut down for the winter where is Richard based now?
Not to bad in Plymouth, by the way is 'Tore' still in Plymouth or near by?

We assume she is still in the Plymouth area but the last update was 6/9/11 so in theory she could be over the water and on her way to Africa but I wouldnt put any money on that lol.
A very old Shropshire Lad.
Thank you, hope she makes it to Africa soon. I think I will ask her for a lift. LOl

Hi Patily
As I understand it, RSPB have a team of permanent staff based on Speyside year-round (think I've seen 'Forest Lodge' mentioned on here at some stage???) which includes Richard. They have quite a few sites without a full-time staff presence to look after besides LG (and there's more to LG than the visitor centre, of course). Not sure if there is one winter base for all the local permanent staff, or several, though.
