In response to the demand for an osprey chat thread I am now making one for September 2011. I guess there will be quite a bit to chat about given the success of the extension thread.

~Thanks Scylla~ yes it was very peaceful, just what we needed. So much to catch up on though, don't think I will ever get through it all.

There is a new blog
Thanks for that Tiger :o)
Welcome back Mary. Hope you had a lovely time.
I'm glad that the donations query was cleared up.
I didn't think that there would be any movement today, but I was wrong.
Red 8T. Looks as if he flew to France this morning.
I can't find anything else.
For anyone missing our boy, Bynack the Brave. Here he is doing what he did best, on the day he left.
Loch Garten stats. and All the important links for LG.

Just brilliant moffer and I have been following AW and it is interesting to see how an adult goes about migration and no stopping him. I knew when he set off no messing. I do not know much about tracked adults or young and learning as we all are but someone will say if this is a record time for tracked Ospreys. Brilliant job he as done and he is the first to make his winter location from the tracked birds. Absolutely so elated.
Dulas and Leri are finding out why they should have left by now! They have now stayed longer than Mallachie (2009) who was the latest Loch Garten osprey in recent times. In fact the only Loch Garten osprey that they now got to stay longer than is Baldrick from 2004. He left after 104 days.
It's a tad more breezy here than it was. The wind hasn't upended anything in my garden yet but it is having a damn good try. It dies down to almost nothing, then whoosh!
Must be pretty wild on the Dyfi. Right near the coast and so open there.

how's the weather in Cornwall?
A warm ''Hello'' to everyone MOFFER TIGER CHLOE PATILY (all those who have posted so far today 12th)
Oh well, all the threads I monitor are status quo, mm. To be expected I suppose.
Thank you for the latest update on Dyfi MOFFER
It's extremely windy here. The crows and wood pigeons are having a real struggle with the wind.
Interesting to read your post TIGER.
How do our resident birds like Eagles in Scotland manage in weather like they are having? I really would like some encouraging info if there is any to be had!
