What will today bring I wonder. Will Tore fight back or go fishing for herself? Will Bynack stop screeching and become independent? All part of a day in the life of...ospreys!

Hello, I am so grateful to you all for vids and pics. My computer suddenly would not connect to the internet at lunch time, and I don't understand such things, so had to wait for OH to get home. And all he did was switch the router off and on at the wall. So much for IT high tech!! So dear Odin is still around. Lovely for us, and the Tweens. It looks as though Tore is patiently waiting on the branch below the nest for EJ to come with one of her whoppers.

Hello again Sheila - glad you got the router working. I've dismantled mine and wouldn't know how to put it to work again !
Anyway, off out again now but satisfied that all the family is still around and fed.
Have a good evening EVERYBODY
New blog from Abbi. LG team seem to think EJ hasn't been seen today: I've just had another look at Alan's video from this morning, and still think they are mistaken. I have posted the link to the video.
Well done RACHEL. We of course have the advantage of being able to watch it over with our super video people, in this case ALAN. It might be different now, but when I, as a newbie volunteer, was volunteering last year, we could press the button to record incidents, but I don't think we were encouraged to rewind. It might be different this year though with improvements in technology and equipment. Perhaps someone who has been there this year (Margo, RtB etc) might be able to shed more light.
I have a faint hum on the cam. Possibly there is no actual sound - can't hear birds, let alone screaming Tween. Tore is still patiently waiting below the nest.

Well done Rachel. Abbi's blog actually said that EJ hasn't been seen since noon yesterday, and we know that she brought a fish in last night at 8.14pm as well as the one this morning.
Tore is sitting silently on the lower branch still, hoping for fish.

I want to thank you all for your reports, videos and pictures. I have not been around much for the last few days, but have been able to read these pages late each evening. Good to see that Alan recorded EJ this morning and so I should ignore the latest blog. I will go and watch the video now.
back from supper I see everything's just like expected... Tore waiting for fish. Thanks to you folks I never really miss something.
@ladybird: no harm done, I saw Odin on the wonderful video
@ MaryGK: what a nice script you wrote for things to come... which I think our leading actors will not stick to...
to be honest: I have kind of a soft spot for Bynack, as I witnessed him falling on his back by accident weeks ago when he was a small chick and struggling for minutes (that seemed to me like hours) to get back on his feet. I really thought he would be seriously injured or worse... ever since I have been inclined to forgive him everything... fish-stealing and non-stop screaming included. But I agree that he has (over)strained that soft spot in the last days...
now away for some minutes to read the new blog
Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.

I know this is an American link but there is a lovely graphic to show how much an osprey family consumes in a day.

Thanks for all the videos. pictures and commentary. I really appreciate them !
I would love to have a little chat with Tore.
She likes to sit on the branch under the nest. Bynack sits in a tree where he can see the in-coming fish. By the time Tore leaves her branch and flies in a little circle to get to the nest Bynack has the fish .
She needs a more advantageous place to perch .
Bynack has a sense of how to make the most of any situation
Even as a small chick he rushed to get to the head of the fish, knowing that is where EJ started. Tore took her time and often had to wait.
