Hmmmm, what to say at this point in the season ........ Thank you EJ, Odin, LG Staff and volunteers, RSPB, Carnyx and all forum members .....! We pray for the safe migration of all four family members and the safe arrival back next season of EJ and Odin - and the safe return of Tore and Bynack in a few years. I know they haven't gone yet but it's not often I start the DU these days and I guess their migration could happen any day soon ........
OH MOFFER I've captured my first image
Thank you TIGER so much for telling me how
Morning Patily and Barbara.
The fish is still not dead! A couple of shots of Tore coping with it.
Loch Garten stats. and All the important links for LG.
Well done Patily, and a great cature too :o)
This is the one I wanted to show from yesterday Tore was on the nest and Bynack in the tree Here he is
Am I wrong in thinking that Bynack always takes his fish to a tree now and Tore eats hers mostly on the nest and flies of with the end part???
Just lovely Patily. There'll be no stopping you now.
Thanks You could be right
I haven't seen Bynack yet this morning, so perhaps Tore is thinking that it's a safe place to eat today. She does fly off with them, but she had trouble controlling this one. It flapped a bit when she was jumping around the nest trying to get a hold on it to fly, so killed it and continued to eat there.
I haven't seen Bynack eat on the nest for a while, but i'm not always watching.
This being my first season of watching I am amazed at how the youn 'uns develop I look at the captures of when they were newly hatched and now; and there beautiful fledging; and it was only last week they had to have the head removed from the fish and now look at them......and then there's going to be their instinct to migrate ......My heart is in my moth when I think of what they have to face.....you have posted a poetic description of that BARBARA
Tore angry about something.....then Bynack arrives....quite peacefully for him Eating scraps....not making a move to take the fish .....yet Tore still eating
