Tiger is back in north London tonight and so can start threads again. Having been to the home of ospreys everything takes on much more meaning.
Tore reaches 72 days today. Rothes migrated at 79 days so the end may be quite close. However I hasten to add that other chicks have hung on for as long as 97 days in recent times.

EJ still on the nest playing a waiting game. Don't think there'll be any takers tonight.

Night, night, to those who are going to their beds.
EJ has barely moved since moffer's pic of her at 10.32. I'm signing out now too. Catch y'all later.
Hope EJ isn't going to stand there all night Night all
What an amazing bird EJ is, and too soon she will leave having done a fantastic job caring for her chicks yet again.
A VERY BIG thank you to Cirrus Scylla and all who who post and give those of us who are unable to post videos etc the pleasure of watching moments that we would otherwise miss.
Have just caught up with todays events and had to laugh at poor Bynack trying to fly away wiyh that big fish. Looks like EJ is waiting to serve breakfast as the remains of that last fish is still huge.
She must be an extremly strong bird to wrestle fish of that size out of the water and then carry it some distance. I may be wrong, but the chicks this year seem to be more advanced than previous years..
Would just like to add that there is a great bunch of bloggers on hear, and I really enjoy readin all the posts and watching all the videos. Hope no one minds as I have stored so many in my favourite places There have been reall spectacular ones from the wide range cam. EJ still standing looking out over the trees. Dosn't Odin and EJ may a superb pair. Long may it last. EJ wastes nothing and will guard that fish all night .Bless her
"Bless her" are words that often cross my mind when I'm watching EJ :-*
IMAGICAT
A sequence from Bynack's efforts with the 2122hr fish:
She is one most fantastic bird - that's for sure.
It's because of her that we are all on here for the present!
Oh, Scylla, that's a brilliant video!!
Bynack really tries to lift that fish off the nest!
Actually, having seen that struggle again, I am reminded of his efforts to actually fly. Although as a male he will probably never catch a fish that size, he has made real strides in the few weeks since his fledging, hasn't he? He will soon be flying with more substantial sized fish.
EJ has now stood in the same position, hardly moving, for 2 hours and 20 minutes!! And still standing - on that large fish remnant.
