Hallo all. It's a brand new week!
Ups, I was just editing my post about thanking about the feet thing.
Rhymes..... hoorey....grey...
my photos in flickr
Hard, isn't it? Will have to write about ospreys without mentioning them...
Have just come back from dictionary and its "diarrhea" or "diarrhoea" - now they all look wrong, whichever way I spell it, its a horrible word anyway and for a horrible condition, which I often get when travelling abroad.
We do have exactly the same phrase in finnish about blabberymouths (me inclueded). And beeing a nurse, I have my fair amount of close incounters with diarrhoea also...
Lindybird/Aunti; English is a terrible language - very rich and fluid; nothing but irregular verbs, exceptions to the rule, dozens of words that have the same combination of vowels but are pronounced differently, etc. I always admire foreigners who learn it.
Annette, I`m afraid I am to blame about the amount of pages. I am shamelessly taking advantage you folks to improve my english ;)
Osprey Cough spray.
I heard a rumour that leaf blowing is going to be a new sport at the 2012 Olympics.
FAB
Tish: Those photos of Mallachie are fantastic aren't they? The whole story of how Didier "found" us unfolded on the main blog and was really a thrill to read. Lots of other folks were involved too. In the meantime, as you probably know, Alice is keeping us clued in on "not much happening" but that's good too for now.
Alan, love all your little quips:))) Especially blowing the leaves "manually"
Auntie, keep going, your english is excellent
Lindybird, what a great poem. Very clever.
jsb, thanks again for the i player bit. I assume us oversea's folks can't get it due to the licence fee issues, even though I paid it for many years!
Thanks everyone for the links to the stories. Sad about the whale but very funny about the cat.
Alan! How inspired! Not surprised by Olympics rumor; I gather they're also including beach volley ball (in bikinis yet). What will leafblower teams wear?
Lindybird: Looks like the ball is back in your court , "Cough spray" sounds like it could work very well. :-)
Auntie: No, it's me writing long blathery blogs who's hogging the pages. If you hang out here for long, your English could get worse!
Diane: Forget to respond that I too am intrigued by worm holes, time warps, etc. Cue spooky sounds....
You move in very important circles Annette:) Great story and i didn't know that.
Just to through in a "curveball" (one for Auntie) I am purchasing a 'brush cutter" soon. Not sure how that sits with everyone LOLOL
