Hallo all. It's a brand new week!
nice whale storyhttp://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/article6844172.ece
Thanks Gary.
What an amazing day for late September. Temp now 22c. A bit windy.
I tried blowing the leaves but ended up with sore jaw.
Gary, stopped worrying. I myself just love "going off at a tanget" conversations too, if I understand the phrase correctly. But I do find myself sometimes in embarrasing situations, all to thanks my big mouth. I tend to speak before thinking... in finnish "I drop frogs (animals, not french) from my mouth" don´t know the english version of that phrase.

Gary this is a nice story. We have had a sad story aoout a bottle nose whale which has been swimming round in the Bay here in Bournemouth. It was hoped that it would get back on the right track but unfortunately it was found dead last night and had probably been caught up in netting.

Gary: Thanks for the whale story- that must have been a pretty scary experience!
WELCOME: to PeterC, who is our 250th member! Hope you enjoy the site, Peter. Read back over the previous blogs by the Loch Garten team to get this year's story of the ospreys, if you havn't been following us already.
Weather here mixed, drizzle this morning, clearing up now. Temp about 18c. Dog-on-a-diet is sucking his cheeks in, ears down, and trying to look starving, to get sympathy.
Alan: Thanks for the tale of the peanut loving cat!
Alan ... what a lovely tale of the cat and the peanuts ... thanks :))

THE L B A
We're Leaf Blowers Anonymous, and this is our refrain:
"Oh, please, we beg you, don't start up that racket once again.
The sound is hurtful to our ears, second only to the mower
It drives the birds away again, and upsets every flower!
If all your leaves are piling up, and causing you such grief,
We don't expect you to bend down and move them leaf by leaf,
But we must point out a truth that's known: If you wait just one more day
The wind will turn round once again
And blow them all away!"
