Hallo all. It's a brand new week!
Thanks Cirrus: The working sink is just the first "working" part. All other appliances in tomorrow - at least that's the plan. Think I'll save the bottle of red until the final contractor has left and we've signed off on the project. On second thoughts, maybe a bottle of champagne...? (When we celebrate something, I like to go out to dinner, but don't think I'll have the nerve with a brand new kitchen - hubby might have a fit!) :-)
Unknown said: Thanks Alan, So, Didier's osprey perch is turning out to be a bit of a magnet for them. I've discovered he posts his photos on a French site for nature photography called "Natuxo". The T&Cs for the site forbid linking to it, but you can find it if you do a google search for "Xalbai" - it should be the 2nd result after the RSPB site. Xalbai's photos are under his profile 2361. You can see a full shot of the perch there, also some of the hides and camouflages he and his mates use to take their photos.
Thanks Alan,

Sue: That is an amazing site. He's very very good. Highly skilled and obviously incredibly patient. So glad he found Mallachie (or that she found him!)
Annette: How about asking hubby to christen the new kitchen by cooking YOU a meal ?! You could sip champagne whilst chatting to him in the background.....
Go out, Annette! You can't possibly cook in it! It will look so beautiful, you will just want to look at it. Anyway, I'm sure you deserve a bit of spoiling after all the hassle (& I know, we used a standpipe in the middle of the new kitchen floor for 2 weeks, and cooked in a microwave in the dining room- thank goodness some friends & family took pity on us & asked us round a few times or I'd have flipped.)
Its gone cold here tonight so extra blanket on the bed later. So many interesting sites to explore now, I don't have time to look at all of them! Goodnight!
Actually I had some difficulty in find pics of Ospreys. Super photos all round though. How do I find Xabai's perch please ?
I'll second Flying C's idea Annette - sounds the ideal solution.
Margobird: Your comments were helpful and encouraging. Your post made my day! You could never offend me!
I wish you healing, strength, and joy. Take good care of yourself! Wish I could send you a big 'ol pot of Indiana autumn flowers!!!
Thanks all. Great idea. Not sure it would be a treat for me though! Besides which, for the money this cost, I'm thinking this new kitchen should come with a chef.
Cirrus: See Sue's post re Xalbai's "nest", copied here: .... you can find it if you do a Google search for "Xalbai" - it should be the 2nd result after the RSPB site. Xalbai's photos are under his profile 2361.

Cirrus - It's the pic dated 12/08/09 and titled "perchoir a balbu".............
Annette, you can't possibly cook in that new kitchen. I would keep it pristine and eat out the rest of my life. LOL
