Hallo all. It's a brand new week!
Thanks Alan,
So, Didier's osprey perch is turning out to be a bit of a magnet for them.
I've discovered he posts his photos on a French site for nature photography called "Natuxo". The T&Cs for the site forbid linking to it, but you can find it if you do a google search for "Xalbai" - it should be the 2nd result after the RSPB site. Xalbai's photos are under his profile 2361.
You can see a full shot of the perch there, also some of the hides and camouflages he and his mates use to take their photos.
Hi everyone, had a computer free day today and was pleased to find Richard back in residence having had a good time in New York.
Great photos Auntie - what is the Osprey nest built on ? Some sort of power tower? ?
And great links Carol, Alan thank you. Off to investigate Xalbai now Sue - thank you.
Alan thanks for the link. The photos are amazing. I have so many osprey photos saved I think that PC is groaning under the weight.
Margobird
Thanks Sue C telling us about this site. Found it quite easily and managed to translate into English as well, (wonders never cease) and lots and lots of such good photographs. Xalbai is a marvel with a camera.
Lindybird thanks I am feeling OK and crossing my fingers and everything else as well that all skin cancers has been removed successfully. Just waiting for a check up now to make sure everything is OK.
Thanks Sue C. I have just had a quick look at xalbai photos and it is an amazing collection. I just wish my French was a bit better to appreciate the comments more. Tres interessant.
Oh, Margobird - very many positive thoughts your way. Glad you are feeling somewhat better.
Thanks so much Cirrus I am feeling much more positive now and with all the chat going on in the various blogs i have managed to put it at the back of my mind and just enjoyed reading all the posts, looking at BigRab74's video's and just smile, although some of the videos are real tear jerkers as I found out earlier today when I was viewing them. Ospreys have completely taken over my life and I can't wait for EJ and Odin to come back next year safe and well.
HI folks: Lovely pix from all over today. Still can't get over the Central Park shots...
Kitchen remodel hangup this morning when main sewer line backed up. Lots of plumbers underfoot. Oh joy. All fixed now and have working kitchen sink!! Be still my heart!
Margobird, know what you mean about Osprey's taking over your life. With Rothes in France and Mallachie in Portugal I am always wondering where Garten is. Longing for a Xalbai to see her and note her leg ring and let Richard know. I so hope it's an EJ and Odin duet again next year.
Annette, thank goodness that's all over then !!! And you actually have a working kitchen again. Best open a bottle of red I think !
