Alan: THE WIND? How quaint! :-) Seriously, gas-powered leaf blowers (electric ones are much quieter) are banned in many cities and communities here, including Los Angeles. But America is a very strange country: Leafblowers are banned, but guns? No problem!

Margobird: Thanks for the North Carolina Uni link; great photos. Some folks on Facebook were talking about the Country File program and thought it didn't present a balanced view of the eagle situation.
Teresa: My husband had awful problems with Norton a year or so ago; wouldn't let him do anything.

Annette, morning and glad all Ok there. I was interested to know why the gas leaf blowers are banned there. Is it the fire risk or environmental issues? I think half the population up here would have a big hissy fit if that was the case!
Weather here in NW England: Cloudy, had some sunny spells, slight drizzle.
Temperature: About 16/17C
Husband: Huffy, as asked to remove enormous couple of nettles from rear of garden, & when pulled out, they were HUGE- he had a battle not to be stung.
"Buzz" the faithful hound: Looking a bit hurt, as Husband says he's getting a round middle & so has to be on a diet! (no toast crusts from me at lunchtime, & no extra treats),
Grumpy Neighbour: Saw him examining his hedge this morning, expect he hopes if it grows high enough no-one will be able to give him a cheery wave, as he never says Hello or Good Morning if you speak to him!
ANNETTE; Great that you now have sorted the tile crisis, these things are frustrating when you have other stuff on your mind as well.
CIRRUS: So VERY pleased to hear your battle with the computer is now resolved- I always lose my rag with inanimate objects when they do that sort of thing. Great news, & welcome back.
Our 'girls' seem quite happy where they are, & its good to know there's plenty of fish to be had for them to get up strength for the next big bit of their journey.

Perhaps you can give Buzz a few treats "under the table" as such LOL I found out today our horses like shredded wheat and cornflakes!
