So we reach Day 49 for Tore today. The fledging window is well and truly open. Will she fledge today? Not that likely but in the next three or four days she might. How did she grow up so quickly?
Tiger Signature
Tiger: What a nice treat for you to see CC on here.
Scylla: Yes, a fish - sun is making it hard to see much but yes, it's EJ and breakfast is served.
Barbara: I'm watching the nest via Carnyx - no buffering - the link is ('scuse the not-posh link): www.carnyx.tv/.../Scotland.aspx
Because there was no EJ on the nest with her welcoming cries there was no warning whatsoever - a flutter of wings and there she was in the glare of the morning sun's rays.
IMAGICAT
It sure isn't a brown trout but I don't know what it is. A silver pilchard? ;-D
Oh no! that's not a fresh-water fish, come to think of it :-/
EJ no doubt brought the fish. It looks like a Rainbow trout from the Fish Farm
And it is up to EJ's size standards

Very odd: I see your 6:28 post Scylla, but there's no reply button within the box and no blank box under (where we usually type responses)..... (am responding to my own post!)
It's too late for these kinds of challenges (of the web site variety). I'm off to bed! G'night all.

If there is no repy box I think it is because we have moved on to a new page.
I've noticed that too, Annette, then it appears all of a sudden :-?
Rainbow trout? That would account for the pink flesh :-) I see a new area of study is necessary but it's a bit late now.
It shows how nourishing fresh raw fish is - they eat so little yet grow so big and strong :o
EJ's getting a good meal this morning :-) But one chick is back for more and she obliges. What a wonderful mother.
