Hi folks, thought I'd start us off.
Not much to report but I managed to master posting videos on the Daily Update today.
Have packed my case, just got to do OH's today and pack the car up tonight ready for the early morning start on Monday.
Will have a lot to catch up on when I get back but hope all goes well with you all and thinking of you TerryM, OH, and the funeral this week.
Take care all, God Bless.

Meanwhile, I got a pic of the first fish of the day and am about to put that on the DU (unless someone hasn't beat me to it with superduper videos! Then I'm going to go and read everything I've missed here. I gather Margo is back. Yeah!!

A much simpler life? :))
Anyway I best say goodbye and get some sleep!

Simpler maybe, but not nearly as interesting!! :-)
Evening all: Apologies in advance for lengthy post.
Margobird: Wonderful to have you back! Hurray! Sounds very smart to visit LG as a tourist from now on (I think your chilly experience may give potential volunteers pause....) But so, so sorry to hear about your sister. I do wish we could so something other than just make sympathetic noises.. And computer problems too. At least Billie is providing some comfort and, of course, your OH is always so good. Hugs to you dearie and take care of yourself. Don't worry a about responding individually; you have a lot on your plate right now!
Sheila: Fountain is up and bubbling as I type. The guy (a counter-culture long-haired dude leftover from the 60s!) is coming back next week with special shims to straighten it out. OH and I spent the morning leveling the base, but the fountain itself is just a tiny bit off; hence the return visit from Mr. Hippie, who owns the very successful company. I'm looking forward to when the birds discover all that lovely water.
Cirrus: Thanks for Gary update; maybe the Facebook folks are all finding it hard to keep up too. I can only manage one blog, and then just barely!
Lindybird: I found some friends from my old school on Friends Reunited; now I keep getting e-mails asking if I know this or that person at schools I never attended. We are still besieged by hummingbirds; the two feeders have to be refilled every two days. We've had Orioles at the hummer feeders. They're much, much larger yet somehow manage to steal the hummers' sugar water.
Brenda: Love that rule that opponents of noisy players can complain.
Alan: Very dainty egret; unusual (for me at least) Egyptian Goose, and gee - wonder how the Shoveler got its name.
OG: Thanks for reminding me where patriciat is - or isn't.
Diane: Daren't even look at the Extreme Scrabble link since I'm hopeless the plain vanilla version.
AQ: Aha. A chicken quesadilla - but with orange and melon? Hmmm. That's different. Ours also come with salsa (the red sauce) and green chili sauce, also guacamole with the sour cream. Good grief! Wonder if anyone has had a ticket for operating a bier bike being while under the influence. So glad you managed to choke down all those tortes in Vienna! Whatever weather you experience on a vacation, it's always "unusual." But geez - hobbling barefoot on cobblestones? I can barely negotiated them in shoes!
Really must sign off and head to bed. Hi to all I haven't mentioned. Have a lovely Friday and take care. :-)
AQ the party bike looks fun! If a little chaoticVienna so much more relaxed. (shame about the rain)Interesting menu and yummy desserts.
Annette, I'm looking forward to all the birdies discovering all the water from your fountain
Morning, Everyone: Sunny start again here, today, and we are hoping for a fine weekend, if not exactly hot, it should be dry.(most of the time!).
Shall go back and have a look at the Extreme Scrabble of Dianes in a minute!
AQ: Enjoyed reading about your travels, and the description of the food! All that .... torte! yum! But how wet you got! Can't have helped you feel any better, what a shame.
Can hear EJ shouting, so off to the Daily page.....
There is a new blog. It gives us great pleasure
Tore and Bynack - bonnie hills of bonnie Scotland . Pronounced I trust phonetically.
EDIT no they are not. . So then To re (short o) and Bin ack
Good morning all and still playing catch up with everything. Thanks to all for all the news and pics. I am really hoping to catch up properly at some stage but felt that before I logged in I really must do some more HW, it is beginning to bug me now. Still improving health wise although I had an awful coughing fit yesterday evening and why does this always happen when you are trying to watch something on TV.
Lindybird have a wonderful weekend with Sweet Pea.
AQ thanks for your kind thoughts and glad you enjoyed your trip. Hope you will be feeling better soon also.
Annette I am relaxing but trying to do HW over several days as I am ashamed of the dust bunnies at the moment.
I mentioned yesterday that I was going to give Billie some fur ball treatment. She took extreme exception to it and got quite upset with me for sevdral hours so won't be doing that again. Will brush her daily and see if that helps. OH was sorry for her and slept in the front room with her last night. He is such a softie, Billie should have blamed him as it was he who suggested I did it. She is fine and in very playful mode today so all is forgiven now.
Hope you all have a good weekend and take care of yourselves.
Margobird
Morning All,
Great news. I love the names, which Robert the Bruce has given some advice on the pronunciation on the Daily Page. I was hanging the washing out when my i- phone told me I had an e-mail, so everything stopped, while I read Richard's Blog.
Must carry on with the HW before the all important tennis starts.
Catch up later.
