So a new day begins. Star is 34 days and Storm is 29 days today.
So the fledging window opens in just two weeks time. Where is this season going?

Didn't someone try that already? Wonder how many ospreys were on board.
EJ just got up; must be cramped - thought she was going flyabout but has settled down again.
Hey Scylla: See chickies are anxious to snuggle up under Mom; EJ has a long-suffering look on her face (one any mother would recognize!) :-)
Barbara Jean: Which state are you in? Ah - I see - Wisconsin. Was just reading about the flooding in North Dakota.
Wow - that was one lucky osprey; sad about the two chicks though. Glad the nest survived the recent winds. At least EJ doesn't have to worry about tornadoes.
The flooding here is bad too. Today freeways and roads were flooded and closed. There is a school and other buildings in Milwaukee (North of me) where they have 4 feet of water in them. The Fire department was rescuing people from the tops of their cars . Flash floods engulfed their cars in minutes . A lot of buildings are without power. At least there were no tornadoes

It looks like the rain is letting up
I hope the sun comes out to dry EJ, the chicks and the nest
Barbara: That's awful! Is this unusual at this time of year for you guys?
Well, I have to be up early in the morning to start what looks to be a busy day.
Barbara: Stay dry and safe there (wherever you are in WI)! :-)
No fish so far. G'night all.
Morning all, thanks for the overnight updates. My heart goes out to EJ she looks so dejected in this horrible rain, what a good Mam she is though still trying to keep her weans dry. Hope the rain stops some time today to let her dry out a little before the next deluge hits us.

Mary! You snuck in. Goodmorning and goodnight! Have a good day. :-)
