Well-fed chicks today!
You were fast Hazel, getting those photos snapped and posted - thanks
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Captures didn't show it but I think it was a good size fish from Odin :) 1159 still feeding:
Good morning, everyone! See the amazing sight I was greeted with when I logged on - I could not believe the size of the chicks - Gems indeed!
Thank you to everyone for the super pics, particularly Annette's and Barbara Jean's duplicates of the feed around 4.30 UK time - such a great picture it's worth having twice ;)
On page 1 someone's mentioned about Star flapping its wings copying EJ's take-off 'n flight - well that should be on one of the videos I posted yesterday. I think that was a reasonably eventful video.
Cirrus, I think your videos with HyperCam are slightly better than mine with Debut - we're torn between better qual with no sound or "worser" qual with sound.
(Talking of sound, I can hear EJ really giving the nest some welly at this moment but cannot capture it cos I'm catching up here at last - but I do have a nice vid of her earlier building session.)
Hope Rachel is having a lovely day!
IMAGICAT
We're all alert and watching something different
Intruder alert!
Intruder. EJ alarm calling
Three intruder events in fairly quick succession. As you can imagine, I've captured them all - but I won't inflict them all on you ;)
The third time one or both of the Gems joined in briefly.
Joan, re the "We're all alert watching something different" shot - I wanted to grab that one but was waiting for the chick on the right to get it's beak into the frame and gave up ;-D Thank you for that one :-*
Following what I said last night about the eagles not caring for their nest and thus losing two nearly-fledgworthy children - here's EJ making sure it doesn't happen to her Gems :)
