All quiet on the nest:
Hi Annette. She needs to reinforce the barricades LOL
Star is very curious as to what is beyond the nest .
Did you see Star yesterday when EJ left for an exercise flight , Star immediately started trying to flap it's wings? Then Storm followed Star's lead and tried a little wing flapping too. Star mimics EJ and Storm mimics Star. Interesting
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Barbara: I'm clearly not in your league when it comes to those kinds of differences and similarities! :-) I can ID only by size (at the present) and later only if there's some really marked coloring (as in the red markings currently on Star's neck)....
Annette If I can see a profile or face I can easily recognize them . Storm also has lighter colored feathers especially on it's head. I wonder if Star will retain the very dark head markings ? I think they are both females. Both have the distinct brown fluffy bib like EJ.
Saw Star flapping away a little while ago but missed her mimicing (that doesn't look right) EJ. As for faces, well, hmmm, two eyes, a beak.....that's as much as I can figure out. Hopeless!! Good grief - is that Storm fussing with the carpeting? Uh oh; here comes EJ with a stick!
EJ seems determined to fuss about right on top of the chicks - or is she trying to brood them - ah they're sniggling up under her. Doesn't look very comfortable. A bit like a bump on a log.
EJ is struggling to try to cover the chicks. Storm is doing a lot of wiggling
Star peeks out , "Will you two settle down I am trying to take a nap"
Storm still snuggled up but Star up and about and having a little preen.
Morning Sandy, Annette and Barbara Jean, thanks for the overnight posts and piccies of what the family have been up to, and already there is a FISH delivery, well done Odin, I wonder what today will bring for the four of them!

Morning Mary: You're up early. All quiet on the nest right now.
