Daily Update (LG Nest) Monday, June 13, 2011

Yes, the site does seem to be extremely slow today.  I found it like that yesterday too and put it down to weekend traffic - but here we are on Monday...

Having had some tea...

EJ had a natter and a quick fly about, and is now trying to settle down, protecting the youngsters from the wind.  Some lovely sounds coming thru the noise of the wind!

The chicks are getting so large she is having difficulty in getting comfortable herself.  And under her the chicks keep wriggling around to get even further under her and away from the wind!  She keeps finding bits of wood and twig within reach which really shouldn't be there so moves them further away.

Well, that was odd - they must be working on the system - but I lost Everything except the live webcam for ages, then got the still cam back, so took some pics of the feed -

I am back again after our holiday at Ledaig & Bunree just south of Fort William on the NW Coast of Scotland, I can say we had a variety of weathers, shorts one day, fleeces the next, but you know what they say about variety!.   I did try and get my fix of EJ and the weans when I could get on line, but I still havent caught up on ALL thats been happening whilst I was away.    

Margobird I hope you are settled at LG and having a fabulous time, it must be so fantastic for you to be so close to EJ & the family.

Tiger thank you for those links to the fishing details for previous years, being a newby here I dont know what has been happening in previous years and when there are comments made about previous happenings I am so nosy I want to know what you are talking about but dont have the time or knowledge to trail the message boards looking for the information, so thanks for those links.

Thanks to everyone else for keeping us up to date with the daily happenings as I know by reading the daily threads when I get around to it I wont have MISSED a thing!!!

I cannot believe the difference in the weans, this was a photo taken the day just before I left to go on holiday on 2nd June and look at these chicks now, they are humoungous!!!!

Am off out now for dinner, still in holiday mode!!!   Will check up on EJ, Odin and the weans when I get back.

Sorry about the tripple post everyone -  no real idea how it happened but the site was really really slow at the time and now even though I could delete one of them (the x being there) it wont let me saying I dont have permission  !!!

Must have been Fish 4, Cirrus.   Hello to Mary who has had a lovely holiday, and now cant believe the size of these chicks - nor can I , and I saw them this morning!

Here is EJ trying to get back over them after the feed:

mlake: You mentioned the late-night feeding earlier. Tiger saw it - and Scylla?? - and about Odin night fishing. I assumed the late-night feed was a leftover and not a late-night delivery; don't think Odin fishes at night....

No, I don't think so either Annette. Well, I've got to go to work but am unhappy about the weather our dear birds are having to endure. Still  4 fish and counting - full bellies help the chicks to keep warm. Good ole Odin.

Hope to read of at least two more fish when I get home at something gone 10 pm.

LINDYBIRD, really liked that shot of the famous four with their heads down. In the trough?

Has the sound gone again? Or is it this #@* computer ... also again?

Think Odin was facing the other way, QW!  He seemed to be trying to keep the wind off them, but then he flew off.

Think the sound is still a bit 'iffy' - it has been coming and going for me, but is on at the moment.
