Another new week. I wonder what surprises it will bring?

Morning All: Can't comment on the above, as have only skimmed through it, will read and reply later.
Here are your Monday Smiles for this week:

Cirrus Blackwater is in Maryland USA I think Blackwater was the site of the very first osprey webcam back in 2001. Their Webmaster (Lisa) posts fairly regularly over at DPOF The Blackwater site is here
dibnlib it is good to know that your mother has not only your brother to help her, but an obviously very kind and caring neighbour. Worth their weight in gold. Am I right in thinking your mother lives between Edinburgh and Glasgow? That was some switch in profession for your brother too, both no doubt with stresses of their own in one way or another. Was the Nimrod simulator used to train/refresh pilots? Did you ever have an 'open day' opportunity to try it out?!!

Tiger thanks for the vid of Pale Male. He looked quite exhausted after his chase of the pigeon.
Edit: Lindy pointed out I attributed the wrong person, so I have edited! Thanks Lindy!
Beautiful photo of the Blackwater osprey Tiger. I know what Cirrus means when she says they don't look like 'our' ospreys, but I'm not sure quite why. Just different!
Thanks to Brenda for the great pic of the sheep being taken for walkies!
Sheila, think it was Tiger who posted the clip of Palemale in the Park with the pigeon - that was amazing, Tiger. Thank goodness someone saw him and had the sense to tell folks to keep away for a while. Thanks also for the earlier pic of the osprey with her offspring - stunning pic.
Dibnlib: Nice to see you on your bike! But so very sorry to hear that you are having troubles with care of your Mum - I know what it is like, my Mum did not have Alzheimers but had a series of bad strokes which was so debilitating and very upsetting. It is very difficult indeed to do 'far away care', when you cannot be on the spot to make decisions or even see the people involved. Expect your brother is very stressed about the situation (but have to say that he should have kept you informed). Hope it can be sorted out.
Lovely to get news of our margo on her Big Adventure! I expect she will be tired today, after all the excitement and then being up half the night. The forecast for UK is 'brightening up this afternoon' but I fear its not the same for the far North of Scotland , so they may not have much good weather yet :-(( - do hope she gets chance to enjoy the scenery.
I'm off out this morning, but hope to get back later to see some of Andy Murrays delayed match, after lunch.
Lovely to hear Margo's news from Wendy. Last year my young friend and I were so excited about our responsibilities we each had only two hours sleep in shifts. We had the heating (it was April after all!) on and when sitting on duty we sat in our sleeping bags to keep us warm! Just had to remember when we got down from the stools not to try to stride out! I certainly needed a couple of hours shut-eye when we got back to the chalet, but that set me up for the 1.00pm shift again. The scenery is so beautiful that sleep wasn't a necessity - I decided I would catch up properly when I got back home and to just enjoy the moment! I am sure Margo will have loads to say about those quiet twilight hours as dawn broke and the sun rose, when the birds started singing and the deer were wandering through. Just magical. Wonder whether the capers are still around - I know that the official caper watch has now stopped, but they may still be seen??
Just seen a jay at the ground feeder. We usually only occasionally see them in the autumn, taking the acorns. Such pretty birds.
Lindy and Trish yes, yesterday's weather really did have an impact on sport both here and in Canada. OH & I were watching the resumed Grand Prix - I couldn't believe the amount of water which was lying on the track. As you say Trish, such an exciting and unexpected finish with Button taking the checkered flag! Not too sure what Hamilton was playing at though. Although it was reported in the press three days ago, BBC included a news item this morning that Sir Stirling Moss had decided to retire from motor racing, at the age of 81, as he had suddenly become 'frightened' at the speed. I guess it is that 'nerve' or 'fearlessness' that gives folk like Hamilton and Button the edge. I can but admire; I could never emulate!!! And so we have Andy Murray to cheer on today. At the moment it is raining on and off here, some 60 miles away, but I have just spotted some blue sky.
Odin the Magnificent has just brought in a fish. He brought one in at 9.26am too so is going well.
BrendaH,Annette, i didn't actually take any pics at LG but took lots of other places in scotland and took some at lotl but not sure if i can post them

Morning all,
Thanks for all the chat etc.
Linda : Loved the doggy monday smiles.
Not a great fan of motor racing. I find it tedious and boring to the extreme. The best set up car invariably wins and the rest of it is just a procession.
Weather is a bit better today after raining all day yesterday. It was so cold we had to have the heating on. I dont think it has made any difference to the drought however as I was just planting some marigolds in the border and if you dig down 2 or 3 inches it is totally dry. I hope the weather improves for Margo so she can see a bit more of the scenery. I did warn her about the 'Scottish' weather. Sound like she is enjoying the experience however.
Probably watch Andy Murray later and hopefully he will play like he did against Roddick and easily defeat Tsonga.
