EJ back

Yes, interesting - then they snuggled up with their heads together!

Here they are before EJ got back. Snuggled together like best friends making " happy chick" clucking sounds :)

That's siblings for you!

I find it interesting that  Star does NOT  instigate the hierarchy fights. Storm is constantly challenging Star and  then Star puts Storm in it's place . Star is not vicious either,  just enough pecking to  settle the dispute of who is  the dominate chick. When it is settled Star is willing to go back to best friends mode 

Odin clearly having a lie-in this morning....

That seems to be the usual routine, though earlier on (when they were first able to stagger about) I saw Star go after Storm for no apparent reason, but they definitely don't fight as much or as badly as previous years' chicks.

I think he was in the area earlier because EJ was calling him to go fishing. He should be back soon . However it is still a bit foggy so it may take him longer to snag a fish

 I like the idea that Storm challenges Star, because that demonstrates that Storm is a fighter too. A very needed attribute for survival. 

 

I am happy that Star stopped challenging EJ.  If that would have continued EJ would have  left early for  her migration as she did when she had to deal  with Nethy . EJ is patient,  but not a fool LOL 

 

Storm is definitely a fighter, even though he/she is on the "losing" side most of the time - at least for now.
