Just found the pic, Barbara. Fantastic! :-) They've grown at roughly the speed of sound!!! :-)
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
It is astonishing to see the comparison from 16 days ago ( now 17 days) to today
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Here is Odin with the first fish of the day
Look at the size of the chicks today WOW
The fish is not very big so there may be very little left for EJ. I expect her to call Odin again when they finish this fish
Heard the calls from another room :-)
I was in another room too and raced to the computer to grab the picture . :)
Both chicks turned away full and EJ is finishing the last little bit and cleaning up the nest
Now settled in for a full crop nap
Some time last night I must have accidentally paused the video so I haven't been alerted by a single peep. Whenever I looked at the pic, there was EJ fast asleep. I might have twigged had I not been distracted by a drama on another forum AND by the fact that 2 media companies have laid claim to the sound rights to 2 of my osprey video clips on YouTube. I won't take up any more of your time with it but I am LIVID since trying to get to the bottom of it.
Thank you everyone for the lovely photos and commentary. I shall have to sleep soon, so will not have contributed a blooming thing :(
Oh, I must add that it's good to see on Springwatch that the newbie parents in Wales are feeding their chicks successfully now - but they're just not as beautiful as (((EJ and Odin))) they almost look like a different species.
IMAGICAT
Oh all right then - who could resist EJ in the rays of the dawn sun?
Golden feathers:
Evening/morning all: Very busy today - running around with grandson and then some shopping, then Rose Society meeting this evening. Home at 9 an probably won't stick around long.... Thanks Tiger for starting things off and everyone else for news and pix (another lovely dawn photo there).
