Morning all: Late checking tonight. Back later...
Rosiemac: BBC weather this morning for the east is a bit grim...but heyho they often get it wrong. Our fluffy clouds are all stuck together:-(((((
Hello There : sunny here at the moment, anyway. Nice news on TV this morning that dear old Bruce Forsyth has finally got his Knighthood - I believe he has done a lot for charity, so should have been eligible for that, alone.
Miss seeing Brian Hanrahan on TV - he was always so professional - a one-off personality, too. Very sad when he died (too young).
Must go and wash, then off to S'market as usual See you All later.
Lindybird. I was just coming to post that but you beat me to it :) See Knight to see you.
I was on my way to check the Loch Garten weather when I saw the report of Sir Bruce!
The weather seems fine at Loch Garten.
Tiger Signature
Tiger: see that Bernard Cribbins has an OBE, too - us oldies will remember him from years ago. Thanks for the link.
awww how loveley is this? See here
Good Morning All. Dry this morning after some heavy overnight rain. I was so pleased to see that Bruce got his knighthood at last. As Linda says, he deserves it for his charity work alone.
Thinking of Margo this morning and hope all goes well with her travelling plans.
Sheila, That was a brilliant holiday report. Some tricky moments though. Would they be allowed a microwave oven in the hide at LG?
Lynette, Good luck with the bed moving today. One of those jobs that can often take longer than you first think. Glad to hear the CH installation went fine and you can enjoy your hot water now.
Chloe, Have a good holiday.
Joan, Lovely spoonbill photographs. What is going to be your next capture !
Annette, Thanks for the bald eagle link. Brilliant news about the chick. I can't get the camera yet.
Just off to have a late shower.
Oh that's gorgeous, Tiger! Thanks.
Had a message from Cirrus a few minutes ago, saying she could not get the 'REPLY' buttons to come up, so she is unable to post. :-((
Have you tried logging out, and then logging in again, Cirrus?
Cirrus is now sorted - whew. I'm off out - see you later.
Just to say, Odin has finally arrived
Had a good sleep last night – must have got the correct balance of rest and activity yesterday, so legs were much better. Got a swollen right hand this morning – must have lain on it. Nice morning – sun coming through very light cloud (now with patches of blue), birds busy as usual.
Thinking of Margo setting out on her big adventure. I think the North of Scotland will be more than she has even imagined. Funny how some folk go abroad but don’t get to know what we have here in the UK – but then, I suppose it’s like the fact we miss local stuff because of the “we can do that anytime” syndrome.
Annette – we had a spate of roundabout building when we were in Lancashire (actually quite necessary ones) but they used to suddenly appear individually, not as any coherent scheme, and we used to remark that the road authority had “found a spare roundabout in the stores”! Have a good Saturday with F Market, Roses and Friend’s moving sale!
Tiger – PaleMale’s children are beautiful and look so intelligent. In the third (I think) video, the larger one has such a wonderful expression when PM has left the food and Mum isn’t feeding them – and then when she feeds the smaller chick, it looks even more indignant and stamps its foot!
Cirrus – sorry you got frozen out by the site this morning – pleased you got back in again. Relieved that Odin finally arrived – I wonder what held him up this morning?
OH is in loft getting bags and suitcases down – let packing begin!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
