Hi everyone.
Many thanks for all the excellent posts, pics, videos etc. on yestarday's update. Not sure how many fish Odin delivered but I get the feeling he'd probably juggle with them on the nest while riding a unicycle but doesn't want to show off ;-)
A word on the LG wind at the moment: It's three words really. The last two are: "off wind." The first word would get edited out. I'm having to keep the cam volume down to about 6% at the moment. I've tried my usual high volume but the wind noise is maddening at times.
Happy New Month everyone :-)
Happy New Month to Odin, EJ, Star, and Storm :-)
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Intruder approach training for young Ospreys. EJ leaves no stone un-turned.
Trying to have a go at those pesky itchy feathers, in the wind... babies don't stir, as presumably too full of fish from yesterdays huge haul of fishes...
Have to vanish for a bit. Shopping mission (he says through floods of tears) Don't panic though. I've put a couple of birdsong CDs in the van ;-)
See you later, everyone :-)
One of the early entries this year for the 'Headless EJ Competition' ...
EDIT: 'Bye Paul, see you later.
Brilliant pics and highly amusing posts! I thought that Odin's wind-created hairdo would have made Chris Packham envious in his younger days :)
An e-pal of mine has coined a collective noun for osprey chicks - "osspring" - I love it!

Oh what a wonderful lot of banter this morning . Makes for super reading Heron, Annette and all - very many thanks And super pics too -you busy bees.
great ones Lindy from STILL adn Joan, and Pharazon addding to the richness of the pics. Thank you all so much.
Just a reminder on todays weather at LG , I see 1900 hrs and 2200 hrs have been revised for the worse but our family are doing so well. I count two fish so far.
Good morning all logged in a short time ago to catch a feed in progress. The wind sounds horrendous have had to turn sound down. It might a lot more difficult today for Odin but from what i have read 2 fish already. He really is one super osprey and EJ a fantastic Mum.
Heron thanks for your very humerous posts and pics. Hope shopping trip goes well, do you mean to say you find time eat during osprey season. Very clever starling making sounds like an osprey. They are great minics though. I have one in the garden who does a mean impression of a blackbird and also wolf whistles. Have to say I agree with your comments about this blank wind. Just hope it would go away and give our wonderful osprey family some respite from it.
Thanks to Annette, Barbara Jean, Pharason and Lindybird, good entry for the headless EJ competition, for all the captures..

Morning Cirrus it is wonderful to start the day's viewing with the very funnty banter that has been going on. Heron often haw me laughing out loud.
This winds seem worse this year so far, let's hope when it comes to ringing etc they will be able to do it this year. The main thing is though that the family are doing well thanks to Odin and his fishing skills whatever the weather. He is one lovely boy.
Brief update from Richard re Rothes.
OMG yes, Margo - hadn't thought about the wind and ringing problem. However, we do have a few weeks to go and hopefully, we are getting all the wind out of the way !!
