So a new day begins. I wonder what novelty it will bring?

Hello Pam - don't think we've met before. Nice to see you over here.
Cirrus Could you maybe find a mouse for your cat to chase? Then I would'nt imagine it was after a bird!
Hi Annette Billie has been around since last October and I have never seen her go for the birds. She just sits in the conservatory and watches but obviously no inclination to chase them. As you say most birds are usually to quick any way. The only time I do worry is when all the babies are around as they are as wise as their parents. Very breezy at LG and it sounds cold and looking at the tempatures for that part of the world it is.
Have a good weekend.

To answer an earlier question about "official names". If I remember correctly from previous years, ONLY Richard & staff have the previlege & honor of naming the chicks. This is done at or about the time of ringing in midsummer. In the meantime, I have never know any of the staff to object to our calling them anything we want. I personally do like the names Star & Storm & will call them that until such time as Richard comes up with something more appropriate & original.
Nice to see you Pam. Hope you are enjoying watching our delightful family. Wish it would warm up a bit for them.
Me too June - that's always been the way we've done it ....... until the Official names are given. It's useful to tell the chicks apart when they are older . Jillian ''coined'' the names after The Blog and after the storm and they seem very apt to me.
That changes things. I have a different picture in my mind now!!

I'm so sorry Lynette missed this query entirely. No, they are just 'our' nick names for them until the Staff name them. It's useful to have some name to call each chick as they grow to fledging.
