I thought a little earlier that I could hear noises from the last egg but maybe the chicks make sucking noises? Anyway, I'm up so I thought I'd start us off. But going to bed now.
Good night EJ it sounds a little wet now
Morning Heron: Thanks Cirrus for starting us off. Radio Chaffinch coming through loud and clear - and it's breezy there!!
Good grief! Thought I was seeing double with TWO threads but I guess this is the one we're going with!
Evening Barbara Jean: Hope all is well with you.
Hi Annette. I must be very tired because I didn't see there were two threads for Wednesday until you mentioned it LOL
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Chickies home alone!
EJ was only gone for a few seconds; now back again!
Barbara Jean: Well, I've been confused all day about whether it was Monday or Tuesday; seeing two May 25 Daily Update threads really had me worried for a minute. :-)
Not much happening; EJ preening and fussing with chickies.
Well, in all this confusion, it looks as though we may overlook something quite important!
On the first page of the Daily Update for yesterday, 24 May, AUNTIE posted a series of pics from the stills camera, and they are very special. Clearly seen in at least one of the pics are TWO bobbleheads!!!!! The time stamp on the clearest of the pics is 6:30:11, hours before Richard Thaxton first saw the second chick. You can also find the clearest of the pics on the last page of yesterday's update, where i copied it in a post about Auntie's find.
I think we owe her a very loud round of applause!!!!! ;-)
Smiles, Jan.
Three cheers for Auntie! Thanks Wattle; I'm so bleary eyed I could barely see the chicks in the earlier pix I posted.
Anyway, off to bed now. EJ fussing with nearby twigs.
Have a good day everyone.
Thank you Wattle and Annette. But no applause please :) I wasn't sure myself (at the time I snapped those pics) that there were two already. Just thought my eyes were deceiving me - hence didn't dare to say anything LOL LOL
But great that there are two now :))))
