Hi everyone.
Many thanks for all the updates, pics etc. Great to have sound back on but I must admit the weather forecasts and the wind I'm currently hearing on the LG cam, have got me feeling a bit edgy. I can hear calls but they sound more like small bird than Ospreys (adult or chick). EJ is currently awake, and just as I was about to say she looks deep in thought, she gave one of those looks :-)
But she does look quite thoughtful though
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
EJ is feeding the chick again.
EJ settles down again with the tail end of the fish underneath her.
I'm so relieved that everything is OK, I was worried at work about the nest, particularly when I nearly got blown over at lunchtime in Inverness!!! A hoodie was blown into my car driving home (it flew off looking a bit shaken!) and with all the tree debris and massive puddles on the road, it was a very slow journey home indeed!
Apparently a 100mph gust was recorded near Stirling today. Amazing that Odin's been able to keep fishing and EJ's been able to feed wee humbug. Nature is truly awe inspiring!
I think we lost the camera in the wind

I was just coming to say the same thing. I was reading that there were 100 mph gusts at Stirling today. I thought ours was bad enough at 70!!!!
Hi Everyone
Just home from the office and had to log on straight away. Is it just me, or is the webcam down? Says 'ready' but no picture?
Flicked through your posts with tears in my eyes, couldn't bear to read, how awful for them. Sounds like EJ and Odin are doing a marvelous job in those conditions. God bless their hearts and, of course, the little one.
Thank you Barbara Jean and Valc, you answered my question as I was posting it!
Our electricity went off there, I was speaking to a pal in Inverness and it went off there too at the same time (about 7pm). We're back on now though so hopefully Loch Garten won't be far behind!
Thanks for all the updates and pictures. I can barely find the words to describe how bad the wind sounds at Loch Garten. I've only been watching intermitantly today (dodgy internet connection) but I've found myself having to turn the volume down quite low because the wind sounded so loud (even through my puny laptop speakers), and normally I have the sound turned up quite high so I can hear all the calls and other birdsong.
Despite the unseasanably rough conditions, EJ and Odin have been doing a sensationally good job in caring for their chick. I honestly can't blame chick #2 for choosing the saftey of the egg at this time. Here's hoping for better weather and the cam to be back on soon.
There's a note on the main Blog from Richard Thaxton ... they had a power cut, but its back on now. He said if the camera is down things will need re-booting... tomorrow! So ... looks like we won't see any more of EJ and Odin battling the wind until tomorrow sometime! (Maybe just as well!)
