Hi everyone.
Many thanks for all the updates, pics etc. Great to have sound back on but I must admit the weather forecasts and the wind I'm currently hearing on the LG cam, have got me feeling a bit edgy. I can hear calls but they sound more like small bird than Ospreys (adult or chick). EJ is currently awake, and just as I was about to say she looks deep in thought, she gave one of those looks :-)
But she does look quite thoughtful though
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.

Poor EJ
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
I can only bear to watch intermittently Barbara Jean. It's breaking my heart and having been up to the forecast for Boat of Garten
www.xcweather.co.uk/.../boat_of_garten
there's not much respite given until Wednesday. And now, there's the volcanic ash situation impending. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Poor EJ is looking around as if to say "what next?"

EJ looks as if she is trying to sleep - there's not much else she can do in this wind except keep her head down and hang on.
Hello Barbara Jean I can hardly bear to watch at the moment. Poor EJ and also Odin who somehow has managed to deliver a fish. The sind and rain is just horrendous. Let's hope EJ can keep the little one warm and dry and hopefully by the time there is another hatch the weather will have eased a little.
Margobird
I am going to log off for now as I can't bear to see what that weather is doing to poor EJ, Odin and the chick. Please let them be safe. It is just awful to watch her trying to get some respite from the weather but she is so exposed on that nest. I had better get used to it because it might be like this when I go up to LG. Bye all for now back tomorrow.
Looking in again and find that Margobird is back - hope you had a nice break.
Had to turn the sound right down as that wind is ferocious - gales forecast for the area, gusts of up to 70mph according to 1pm news. She is doing a sterling job and is now right down on the nest keeping her baby and eggs warm.
Not being an expert at all and reading all the past posts it does seem worrying about the hatching of the 2nd egg taking so long. Maybe its mother nature's way of hanging on in there till the weather is better but I'm probably looking for a miracle.
