She keeps giving tiny little cheeps.
Tiger how long would it take a chick to tap its way out of the shell once the surface is broken? Another cheep, and more restless movements, fiddling with nesting material, paddling below.

EDIT - Definitely something happening ... but could be hours yet I suppose.
Oh Joan, How right you are! What a wriggle-bum!! I seem to remember her being like this last year just before the first egg hatched. She was hardly still for a minute. She's checking the eggs regularly and moving them around a lot. She also keeps lowering her head tto the edge of the cup and 'peeping'. Wonder if the type of calls from the eggs she can hear is telling her the first chick is about to appear? :)
