Greetings all. Sunday, almost 9.45 am here. Gorgeous pics of flowers & cats & dog on previous thread.Back later.
Thank you for your welcome, Tiger, Sheila, Lindy, Margo and Djoan. I do hope I haven't missed anyone! I look forward to meeting you all again On The Other Side.
Aquilareen I've really enjoyed your posts about the history of your area. I was a history 'buff' at school and would have found your information really useful for my 'commonwealth' history work. Really fascinated by your info about churches. Mine is the oldest surviving church in Belfast and has tours around it at least once a week.
Wendyb that's a good brisk walking speed. Maybe you should think about a dog - one that likes cats for Tiger Lily's sake!
Signing off now so let's hope this upgrade goes well. See you on Thursday. TTFN.
Incase I don't manage to get to you all after the upgrade, its been great these last few days, you have all been very warm and welcoming to the newbies like myself, I just hope I manage to hook up with you all in 4 days..Hopefully see you on the other side.
We have been out all day. I have enjoyed reading all your chat but as so many of you have now signed out, there is no point in my replying.
Margo, If you do happen to look in, do have a brilliant holiday.
Lorna, Welcome from me also.
Well friends, 'see' you all next week. Take care and look after yourselves.
We have had a cold and rainy weekend here, the weeds are coming on a treat in the garden :)
Hopefully the weather will be better for those of you who are away - my trip to Glaslyn is approaching fast.
Look forward to finding everyone again at the end of the week.
Janet
(I don't think I'll be putting my pet pictures on - the fish don't stop still long enough to have photos taken)
SheilaFE There'sa restaurant at Inverdruie, part of the Rothiemurchus complex but there's also one at the Forest Centre, right beside the Reindeer Centre. Both are very good. BTW I used to have an adopted reindeer (well, several actually) but they all died prematurely (one killed by a skiing party heading for home0 so I decided I was unlucky for them.
Au revoir everyone. See you on the 'other side' - seems scary, doesn't it?
I think we could maybe do with a separate thread, for posting tips about visiting Loch Garten and Strathspey - plus reports and photos from people who've been. It would be useful to me as I'm going this summer.
This doesn't seem quite the time to start it, will see how things have turned out after the break. Have a good few days......Sue
I guess this is one opportunity for Aussies to have the last word! ;-) I'm sure the re-vamp will go well and we'll all be back very soon admiring the new 'furnature'. See you all again soon!
Smiles, Jan.
