Greetings all. Sunday, almost 9.45 am here. Gorgeous pics of flowers & cats & dog on previous thread.Back later.
Just a brief post to wish everyone the best of luck in navigating the new-look community on Thursday. I'll be at work of course so won't get a chance to see how things look until the evening by which time we will be waiting for the arrival of chicks on the nest. A good opportunity to get plenty of chores out of the way before then! Look forward to meeting up again on the other side, whatever shape/form it takes.
Wendyb your Speyside walk sounds really quite delightful. I do love to see hares. Our blackthorn (sloe) is now over and hawthorn and elder are on the way. Was Dillon accompanying you?
Still had no rain here, more's the shame. Oh dear, my ducks are no longer content with the deep down to paddle in and drink from. I went out earlier and found them in the pond - which is not the easiest for the wee ones to get out of. Just taken another look, and an even bigger oh dear, Mr M is back on the scene. Surely we won't be heading for the paddle of tiny webbed feet so soon!! The youngsters are still seeking each other for comfort.
Oh dear, everyone is sounding so sad. Don't be. We can still watch EJ and Odin and perhaps even recall particular evens which can be relayed on Thursday! We are still here thinking about each other and giving virtual hugs to comfort!! I am about to start dinner so may not be back this evening. But take care everyone and see you all bright and early on Thursday morning!!

SheilaFE: Dillon is Dibnlibs dog...Daisy May is my daughters but they live in Dorset so I sometimes look sad as everyone I meet has a dog out for a walk I don't have one.
Just caught up with all the news and posts.
Sheila, delightful pics of Mrs Duck and family
Like your rockery Dibnib and glad you are enjoying the new car.
Tiger - tried the European quiz - oh dear will have to brush up on my geography and I thought I was reasonably well up it just goes to show how rusty one can get over the years.
Another few hours and we will be shutting down, boo hoo!! but hopefully it will be fairly easy when everything is back on track. Raining at LG and EJ getting quite damp but sitting patiently - not long now folks. At least we have evensong going on in the background.

Of course Wendyb, sorry! So many dogs to keep up with, and now cats too. I don't have a dog either, but am always happy to be greeted by a friendly one. You must be fit to do an 11 mile walk home, but with all that beautiful countryside surrounding you it probably doesn't seem like 11 miles, and I assume it is relatively flat!
Meant to say - AQ thanks for your report on your history visit , quite a number of churches around.
Margobird - enjoy your break to Florence should be really interesting.
Don't watch Eurovision Song Contest so don't know who won.
Take care all and see you back in a few days.
Good evening everyone...Happy Sunday to you Heron77.
Its been a busy day, finally sat down whilst OH has gone out...I persuaded him to come to the gym with me earlier to relax after clearing the garden up after the birds, plus the cars..Men do make me laugh when they go on and I mean that in the nicest possible way, to all you men out there! Do any of you know the film 'sleeping with the enemy'? well thats what he's like lol Anyway the gym did the trick, plus I needed to run off the cake.
Its been very chilly here today, even the cats don't want to go outdoors. I have now managed to catch up on everyones posts and wonderful pictures, Thank you.
QUIETWOMAN My book says that Swallows will often reuse their old nests so I am guessing it is new birds building the new nests. sorry if I am stating the obvious.
SHEILA think it was you asking. Yes blue flower in rockery is a Gentian.
WENDY I did sing HB to Dillon and OH did when he came home from work at 3.30. Sounds like a really lovely walk you had today. It is a long while since I tackled 11 miles and doubt I will ever do again. I am looking forward to getting round Loch an Eilein this Summer and that is only 3 miles.
Well this blog may be shutting down for three days but "Ospreys" isn't. If you want to browse through nearly six years of ospreys then see Ospreys. Take a not of the URL since this forum will be closing soon.
