Forgot to say, nice pics of Bobbie from Alicat the other day.  Looks like you are both getting used to each other, Alicat.

Sheila:    Have a great holiday, and come back to us with pics.

  • Alan, Good to see you back, although I am sure it went too quickly for you. Sorry about the weather, we are still waiting for some rain down here. How is Hamish ?

EDIT, I forgot to say that I love the redpoll photograph.

  • hi lotl webcam is now back up and running

  • Hi, all! So glad to see everyone.

Alan: Welcome back!!! You were missed. The forum doesn't seem the same without you. Glad you had a good time in Wales. I, too, hope that Hamish is on the mend. Loved the redpoll.

Alicat: Such lovely photos of Bobbie. So glad that you two are getting on so well. Such a cutie!

Sheila: I hope you have the most wonderful holiday!!!

Lynette: Glad that everything is falling into place for your home. Sri Lanka!!! Oh, what a terrific holiday. You must be so excited. I look forward to photos. Lots of wildlife there. Lovely photos of Pebbles you posted!

dibnlib: That duck photo is fabulous! Love those babies and their little masks! Ducks are good mothers. One time, I was crossing a bridge in Indianapolis. Traffic was coming, so I started to run to get to the end of the bridge. A mother duck took my actions as a sign of danger, and she flew up out of the water and chased me for quite a ways. She actually knicked me on the shoulder with her bill! I didn't hold it against her, though. She was just protecting her young. I'm crazy about ducks. Thanks for the pic.

Trish 2: Oh, dear, a swarm of bees. I hope they have moved on by tomorrow. Generally, bees won't bother a person, but it sounds like you have quite an impressive swarm. I have a lot of wasps in my garden. I won't say that I'm afraid of them, but I confess that they aren't my favorite of Earth's creatures. LOL

Tiger: I'm going to have a cup of Bengal Spice tea and read your recommended sites. Thanks for the owl cam link. I'm so happy for Pale Male. That's wonderful news. The trip to Big Ben sounds great. I would have enjoyed that.

Lindy: OH deserves to take pride in his vegetables. LOL Sorry about the demise of your washing machine. Hope you can get it sorted or get a new one soon. I just hate it when a major appliance breaks, especially when it isn't very old. Beautiful lilac photo you posted!

  • AQ: A new grand child!?! Wonderful!!! Are you excited? Congratulations to your entire family! Let us know if you locate Lizette.

Brenda: Happy belated birthday to your OH! Glad you had a good day with your children. Hope your eating/sleeping schedule has returned to normal. :-) I have no schedule; I just sleep and eat when I feel like it -- like a wild creature. LOL

Eagle-eye: I have not seen a post from bettyboo since the upgrade. But I think I remember that she was going to be on holiday. Does anyone else remember that? I'm glad that George found us!

Joan: Glad your woodpigeon was only swimming and not deceased. LOL Nice to see you!

Barbara Jean: Thanks very much for the advice to clear my cache and cookies. I did do that, and I don't know whether it helped resolve the problem. If anyone out there is watching but can't sign in, you might try it as a last resort.

OG: I hope your son is doing better since he started his new (and better) work routine. That's a shame about your cleaner. I hope you can get another one assigned ASAP. Aren't you about due for another injection? I noticed that you have felt tired. I wondered if it was from your holiday or because you need your jab? I appreciate your help and encouragement when I was stuck in cyber-limbo and couldn't post! You're the absolute best! Don't know what we would do without you here!

Hi to Heather, Wendy, patriciat, Paul, and everyone I've missed!

  • Diane thanks for the mention looking but not liking..might get used to the new site but might not. I don't think the RSPB did any customer research and with experience of old they don't like negative feedback. So will keep reading and as they say keep my powder dry>

  • Diane So glad you're back with us.  I think I was just lucky finding my way here as I even find Facebook challenging!

  • Wendy: Stay with us. We'll all muddle through together! Don't want to lose you!

Patriciat: Thanks! Glad you found your way here. I hope everything is going as well as possible for you. Think about you often!

Lynette: Thanks for the heads up about Pete's Pond! For those who didn't see it, Pete's Pond is no longer associated with National Geographic. They are now being sponsored by WildEarth. The new link is here:   Pete's Pond

    Everybody have a good night!

  • OG - OH is OK at present, doesn't see the vascular consultant till next month and we hope things will be fixed by the time we go away.  Just the two of us going.   Will have to check with the surgery whether we need jabs nearer the time - I think its one of the Hepetitis ones but thankfully no malaria tablets.

Getting ready for JC took most of the day. Making the framework for the mobiles and cutting out the figures etc. Never mind its done now.

Notice that Alan is back, hope you enjoyed your trip to Wales.

  • Just read the recent posts - thanks for all the news etc.

Alan - lovely pic of the redpole and sorry to hear the weather wasn't great in Wales but that you had a nce time.

Alicat - I think - lovely pic of Mrs Duck and family.

Oh a moth keeps flying in front of the cam light.

Just a few pics to end the day.  two of our other cat, Misty, and 2 of our robin that visits and l of Mr. chaffinch taken through a window, hence the opaqueness.
