Greetings all. Sunday, almost 9.45 am here. Gorgeous pics of flowers & cats & dog on previous thread.Back later.
Monring Tiger I am so pleased Lily recovered and what a feisty little bear Faith is. A really lovely update about Lily and her family and looking food for them now as there is plenty to eat and Lily is able to provide plenty of milk for Faith and Hope.
Margobird
Diane thanks for the Space People news. A lot going on but will probably find pics of it all eventually.
quitetwoman how lovely to have two swallow nests. Don't know if they would be the same ones who nested last year but could be. I am sure the pair that have nested in your garden shed wll get used to the comings and goings.
Tiger thanks for the link re red tailed hawk Violet. Hope she and chick make it altthough it does seem she is managing OK and feeding the little one.
Finaly just to say in case I do not get on here again today take care of yourselves and will see you (hopefully) when I get back from Florence.
Billy has just chased neighbour's cat away again as it had the audacity to eat her food. Billie has 2 eating stations, one indoor and the other outside, completely spoilt isn' she.

Now I'm muddled. Perhaps it was Inverdruie. I know we got a bus from our chalet accommodation to Aviemore, changed at Aviemore to Inverdruie and walked to Coylumbridge then hangered off right following the path beside the river/stream before heading over to Loch an Eilein and back to get the bus to the chalet. It must have been there we went to The Ord Ban. However, on an earlier occasion we went to the Reindeer Centre and ate in a visitors centre there, which has a museum I seem to recall.

You take care too Margo, enjoy Florence and we will definitely find you on the other side!!
So how many of you genuinely know where Azerbijan is? :)
Tiger Signature
Haven't glot a clue Tiger but geography was never a strong point for me. Was it called something else before it became Azerbijan

What on earth is wrong with Strathspey? Mor has a web site and is run by the people that used to be at Ord Ban at the Rothiemurchus Visitor Centre. Sheilafe - See comments above re Ord Ban. The snow I mentioned was the top 1000ft - not down to 1000ft!! I see Ben Nevis, Carn Dearg, and Aonach Mor from my conservatory and they are all of course over 3000ft.

Ah, so possibly the Mor is where friend and I ate after our visit to feed the Reindeer!! All becoming clearer!
How wonderful to have such stunning views. Two years ago we stayed at Torlundy, near Spean Bridge in a fairly new cottage with ground source heating which kept the place surprisingly warm. We had wonderful views of the hills from their too. So snow down to 3000ft then! That sounds slightly further away! I did a re-ascent of the Ben in 1984 from Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE Carn Mor Dearg over the Arrette. Fortunately it was very misty and I had no idea what was on either side of me - the shear drop down!! I could never ever do that again.
Edit: sorry, that's what comes of copying and pasting to ensure the correct spelling!
Further Edit: I don't Tiger, or didn't until you raise the question and looked at dear old Wiki! I thought Blue were far better, but then I'm biased, aren't I!! I come from the UK
