HI all: Off to yet another concert but will check on EJ when I get home!
Thanks Paul, Sheila and Joan. Always lovely to see them both on the nest.
SNAP Brenda, it is a lovely one of them together.

Guess what, the stills camera has frozen or stopped a 4.47pm. I ahave been refreshing but no joy.
Intruder alert. Odin flies to the nest and both are keeping an eye on something.
Either alarm is other and Odin has gone back to his perch, or he is after the intruder.

Just catching up with Weekly chat and looked on nest and there was Odin, not sure whether an intruder is about but he has now flown off
EJ having a shuffle of the eggs and a wee stretch and movement of twigs etc but seems to be settling down again.
Hi Lynette,
beautiful shot of Odin. EJ looks her usual self... ' I wish he'd just shove off and let me settle on these eggs.'
Got the shock of my life this morning, opened my curtains to see a fine specimen of a male pheasant, a female mallard and a male mallard all in a line waddling down the road in front of my house!! It was like a bar-room joke: 'There was this pheasant and 2 mallards walking down a road one day.......' !!!
EJ is well settled at present. Slight breeze catching a feather caught on her bill.
Night all. Switching off now.
Su. Didn't you have a camera to take a photo of them?? I would have loved to have seen those!! :-)
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Hi Sandra,
Unfortunately not, but even if I had, at 6.30 this morning I don't think I could have worked a camera!!
The pheasant is known to us. He runs round and round a highly polished black headstone in the churchyard next door. He must be able to see his reflection in both sides and keeps going around to the other side to chase his rival off. Not the brightest of avian species, pheasants, but he has managed to avoid the annual murder of all things feathered, so he can't be that daft! There's also a white pheasant around and about. I don't think it's albino, just all white.
