Morning all: Daylight already at LG; EJ on nest;
Hi everyone.
Thanks for all the updates and quite frankly ospreytastic pictures :-)
Never mind the royal wedding. Here's a lovely couple :-)

Morning all,
Just logged on to see our lady doing the EJ shuffle around her eggs. Bless. Another beautiful day. This could carry on until Christmas then get hotter if it wanted!!!
Cirrus: Morning. I went to my old stomping ground yesterday, Rivington Moor and Anglesarke Reservoir above Bolton and Chorley.(I mostly tramp around Bowland now, or just about anywhere with birdlife) SOOOO many people there so not much to see on the bird front, just the usual suspects, tits, finches, GSW and yet another unidentified warbler!!!! Dartmoor is beautiful. Many happy holiday memories of that area. I hope you enjoy it. We're off to the Lakes in June, so hope the weather stays like this!
Lynette: Hi. I know Worsley. I now live in Chipping in Bowland but am originally from Bolton. So staying in good ole Lancashire, although I have lived in Cambridgeshire and Cleveland too!
What a lovely pic Heron - I'm baggying that one !!!
Su - morning to you. Rivington Moor. Mmm. Unfortunately I don' t know it. I have a sister in Cumbria though - not that she'd think about visiting the Ospreys at Bassenthwaite !!!!!!!! I'm sure you willl :) They even have a picture of EJ's nest on video at the centre there.
I'll join you all this afternoon as I have to go out now, and hope to read of Odin's delivery of a fish. I'm sure he will.
Good morning to all those I haven't greeted 'cos you're not online yet :)
Hello. Nice to see that the sun is still shining on the nest. Wonder what sexes the chicks will be this year? Some more feisty girls, or handsome Odin lookalikes?
Hello & goodbye, Cirrus! I'm off out, too, so will look in again later.
Cirrus have a wonderful day. I have seen the Bassenthwaite Osprey last year. We were out one evening and saw the male fishing. Wow, what a sight. He wasn't as handsome as our Odin though. (not that I could see but knew he couldn't be!!) If you ever get to Lancashire, you must walk Rivington Moor. It's a belter and Bowland is breathtaking. Saw a male hen harrier here last year, but no joy this year yet.
Morning everyone. EJ is sitting on the nest, panting in the already warm morning sun. How long can this weather last?

EJ has just checked her eggs,
and is now still watching what's going on
She keeps looking up from left to right, something must have caught her eye. She could have just been calling.
I'm interested that she is so affected by the heat, given that West African must be hotter. I can only assume that she is in direct sunlight, and cannot get into the shade, as she sits incubating.
