Evening a;;: Just starting things off, but not sticking around very long as it's been a busy day and I'm fading..... However, it's light already at LG - foggy too by the looks of it. EJ awake and looking about...
EDIT: Well, hit Post and the day cam came on - looks misty.....
Morning Cirrus. Thanks to Annette and Heron for the wonderful early morning pictures. Just beautiful. I really should make the effort to get up earlier!
Cirrus you ask: Please would someone remind me when the first egg is due to hatch - is it 14 May ??? I am sure that Tiger has suggested 20 May as first egg hatching day. And given that I head north on 22 May (but not to LG before 25 May) I could just see that first hatch from home, and perhaps another when up there! Woopee!!
LG looks glorious today. Unfortunately I am having probs with the internet this morning, so links and needless to say, camera, keep dropping out. However, Odin is currently sitting on the nest ('buffering') ... looking ENE, having the occasional ('buffering') shuffle as he gets himself comfortable. (and yet more 'buffering') There appears, like yesterday, to be an intermittent, but slight hum, with no sounds around the nest.

Thank you Tiger and Lindy - I shall be in Devon (Dartmoor) - rats not back till 21st . Oh well, I'll be here for egg 2 and 3 (great Gosling story Tiger - I'd have stopped the traffic too - good for the girl ! Of course, dual carriageway means fast traffic. Brave girl !!)
Sorry Tiger and Lindy - as I said, connection problems. Apologies for repeating what has already been said.
It's very hasty - but I'll work on it later
This is an Ode to the brilliance of birds (as the RSPB says :) ) with apologies to QW

The dawn came up like thunder
Sun beams smote like velvet voile
A chorus of calls and noise of motion
Wings beating and flocks soaring
Up and up in the chill of the morn
Greeting the world and one another
Announcing a new day to one and all
Left behind looking up I smiled
But a tear dimmed my vision
Just briefly for joy, and a wonder
Of nature settled upon me
Of birds in their beauty of soft
Feathered attire and their bright
Eyes glinting in the sunlight
and apologies to those who don't like poetry that doesn't rhyme
Good morning all and Cirrus lovely words and I am sure you speak for all of us with our love of these wonderful ospreys.
Many thanks to all for all obsevations and the wonderful captures. The early morning captures are just so lovely with those wonderful colours.
I am pretty sure it is Odin on the nest at the moment so did he bring a fish for EJ. I love the way he tidies whilst he broods and waits for EJ to return. Pleased to see the sun is shining again at LG but I would imagine it was a pretty chilly night as the temperatures forecast for last night seemed quite low.
Now off to catch up on the weekly chat. Bit late on this morning as did some housework and then popped into town to get more bird food as more seems to be going now so I am assuming that there are hatched birds on the nests.

Oooh! Cirrus!!! (I've just popped back here) - how lovely! That's just great - thanks, did enjoy it.
Don't know about a fish Margo :(
Thank you Lindy, coming from you that's very special
Cirrus I too enjoyed your poem.
EJ appears to be panting in the sun at the moment. I've not noticed any visits by Odin.
She has just turned the eggs and resettled on them, now facing north, our left.
