Lovely captures of the earlier fish delivery. I was just checking out RtB's YouTube, when out of the corner of my eye I saw Odin flying in carrying ??? Screen froze. But I am pretty sure it was a huge brown trout. Duly handed over to EJ, Odin settles on his eggs and EJ takes off to eat her lunch. So that is two big fish today, in quite a short space of time!

Just checking back in ... Odin on the nest again? Just read back to find that he delivered another fish ... well done Odin :-))

Hi everyone,
Posted a comment on the blog re an osprey sighting near to where I live, Lancashire. A local Ornithology club had a sighting posted on their websight. It was last Sunday around lunchtimeish over Clitheroe near the Trough Of Bowland. I was wondering where it could be going or coming from as there aren't any nest sights around here. The nearest would be Bassenthwaite and that's a mighty long way to come to go fishing!!! Tiger mentioned Alan on this group may be the chappie in the know.
Any suggestions?
Su
EJ returned, empty taloned. Odin stood up with no argument or persuasion required and flew off. EJ is now back on the nest.
afternoon all
Here is that delivery from Odin:)

Su : I get my sightings from Birdguides. It would take too long to check each individual ornithological group. I logged 1 sighting in Lancashire on the 17th:
17/04 16:22 LANCASHIRE : Osprey, Low Moor [S] one flew upriver mid-afternoon (15:15)
It looks like your sighting was a different bird judging by the timing. Probably a late migrating Scottish bird.
Hi Alan,
Many thanks. Checked the ELOC site. The one you have logged was the one I had read about there. Would it be a juvenile male seeing as it's so late??? Or are there still mature birds coming over? I know it's all conjecture but interesting to pick someone's brain nonetheless!! No further sightings here but lots of other interesting stuff! Glad to see a cuckoo or two have been seen/heard around these parts and a red kite.
Happy Easter. :)
Morning all: EJ doesn't seem to have moved since I last looked in, so good to know she's been out to dine.
Cirrus: MWSnap is "pinned to taskbar." Just clicked on that a couple of times and it opened fine; we'll see what develops.
Off to start (sunny) day.
good fishing day for odin;
he brought EJ another fish, good sized as well
