EJ is laying on her nest and looks like she is having contractions
She is facing the camera
EDIT While I was typing she turned around and is fussing with something under her . Her back is to the camera
I just saw it WE HAVE AN EGG !!
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Morning all
I knew she was going to lay it last night. I think she would have laid it before it was dark but she was disturbed by the Raven. I'm really pleased because I'm going out today and thought I would miss it.
Great to see EJ sitting on the first egg. Congrats to those that spotted the egg-laying ... the early bird catches the worm.....super screen grabs
Looking forward to more eggs .... will it be three or, perhaps four..
What with EJ laying and also the old female at Loch of the Lowes it is now going to be a race to see which has the first chick hatched.
Still no fish from Odin but I just heard him on the camera post (or whatever is ''up'' there but just out of our sight)
Golly, I hope not four eggs Outlawowl
The first hatched will almost certainly be Lady's I would think OO cos they take 'so many days' to incubate (36 I think) so since Lady laid first it's going to be Lady's. Or should be.
I am going to London today (first time in months, so quite an adventure these days!), so no more reports from me, sorry. But I am so glad to have seen EJ and her egg this morning. Now the wait for a first fish of the day.

Just came for another look ... and EJ stood up to let me see the egg ... thanks EJ!!
I can't wait to see Odin egg-sitting and refusing to shift when EJ wants them back :-))

Morning all and I see EJ has laid her first egg right on schedule. Great start to the day. Thanks to all for pics etc.
A big thank you to Barbara for being so alert and recording the time. Also auntie for the first photographs of EJ's egg. What a brilliant start to the day.
