Nest is empty; assume that bright patch is that clump of moss.
Re the main blog, the only recent post I made was a question , to which answer was there none, at least so far.
So if anyone is going to LG in person, could they ask this please? In the LG official events diary for the reserve or nest, at what time did Odin actually return, with his identity confirmed? We collectively think, it could have been about 4pm when EJ displayed, or it could have been 5.09pm when he flew above the centre with a fish, when all the volunteers, came running back to see him, or was it the close up shot we got on the webcam 6.23pm, when I saw him arrive on the nest, with a fish and I and others, posted a pic about two or three minutes later.
The reason, is that when I publish the Chick Stats, for 2011, I need the official data, not what we think, but cannot prove, except the nestcam sighting which is proof, but that may have been after the identification.
Do please tell, if you find out, I would appreciate the help very much. Maybe a message on my page too, in case I miss it here.

Sat track schedule Spring 2014
LG 7 days; RW & SWT nil; LDOP varies
Golly, if I discover anything , I certainly willl post you JSB but , sadly, I'm not going to LG at all. I thought I read an official time somewhere. If I find it I'll let you know.
Cirrus great pics of EJ especilally posing with the stick.
Having said I wouldn't I did look at the main blog I did and what a carry on. Just to let you know it is Richard Thaxton, who is an extremely nice person. When LG were receiving some moans last year I emailed him personally to say the majority of people who posted were not troublemakers. He was so pleased to receive something thanking him personally and emailed me back saying how glad he was that so many supported him.
Margobird
Good Margo - wonderful. Yes, Richard IS a very nice person.
JSB - I think it's going to have to be the 18.20 pm time as in :
Then, at 18.20, someone called out ‘he’s flown, he’s flown!’ and we all rushed to the windows to see where he would go. Someone else was shouting ‘she’s standing back, she’s going to let him land on the nest!’ and sure enough, there he was – Odin – right in front of us on the nest! No doubt about it now! It was definitely him! We were all shouting and cheering and hugging, I’m surprised you didn’t hear us on the webcam!! He gave her the remains of the fish, which she took to the camera tree immediately, while he stayed on the nest and started rearranging nesting material & even scraping out the nest cup.
In a way I think this is a shame - we all ''knew'' it was Odin much earlier than that. Ah well,

jbs you might consider phoning? I have the kiosk number (where you pay) from last year if that is any help. The data will all be recorded in the log book in the forward hide.
Edit: I have also got the Forest Lodge number, where I think Richard Thaxton is based. I only saw him at the Centre on one occasion when I made a point of saying hello, but our paths just might not have crossed.

Balancing with one foot on the big stick (I knew there had to be a use for it) and one on the nest EJ has been calling. Odin flew in and mated and disappeared again - and in that wind too!
EJ is trying to stand firm despite being blown about all over the place
Odin has returned to the nest to do some housework, while EJ looks on. Wise lady! She will only have to rearrange it again when he flies off.
Another rather prolonged mating, and off he goes as EJ keeps and eye on his flight course.
Thank you so much for all your pictures and comments. It has been great to come on here and catch up.
jsb, If only you had thought to ask OG who left yesterday to visit family and will be going to LG next week. I think she is meeting Wendy, so you could ask her to ask OG to find out the answer for you.
Just looked at the Diary Page. Plenty of 'verbal diarrhoea.' I am another one who just reads each new blog.I see someone suggesed that they take their discussion to another page. I hope they don't mean here.
