Evening all: Been out most of the day; just sat down - phew.  Off to check other threads; back in a bit!

  • SheilaFE:Lochinver is a super place and the coast road to the Summer Isles with brilliant pub is not to be missed. To give you a clue to it narrowness no caravans are allowed but it is just the best, An area I would love to live but in honesty too far from an airport for girls and mainly too far from M and S food.

Margo: When I pick you up from the airport the road I will take will have just the best views of the Cairngorms. Not everyones main route but they don't know the BEST routes.

  • Wendy I am really looking forward to that.

  • Some photos of my walk to the little cottage that Willy used to go for afternoon tea!!! A bit dull but daffs as they are up here...just out.

  • Hi sheliaFE you asked if the cat gets on with Bobbie she tolerates her but Bobbie gets the odd slap with the paw from the cat if she gets to excited she barks at the cat to play and jumps around when she does this to much the cat slaps her so at the moment bobbie knows not to get to close

  • Waiting to do things together outside when OH finishes setting recorders for eight day’s of TV!  Still a lovely day, so I sowed seeds in the cold frame this afternoon – there is some chance of them surviving okay while we are gone.  Also froze ten meals of Rhubarb for next winter, and current growth of Chives.  I love it when the garden becomes productive, even when it is just a handful of herbs!  Feet prepared for holiday after visit to chiropodist today.

Margo – pleased Billy ventured another step towards indoor living today!

Dibnlib – I was going to refer Margo to Stephanie’s blog mentioning transporting a volunteer, so I’m glad you mentioned it – that will be good news and put her mind at rest on that score.

Tiger – thanks for reminder that I forgot to read Bear report this morning – must have a last look this evening.

Alan – sorry to read about black plastic at 5R’s nest at RW as well as at Caerlaverock.

Alicat – Bobbie sounds like one very adventurous puppy – keeping you on your (sore) toes!

Lynette – nothing from Bear’s den cam now as they have moved away – go to WRI site for daily update which includes wonderful colour photos.

Wendy – pleased you enjoyed another walk and different views.    Hang on to that calmer weather, and I’ll see you Monday!  I know the route you said you would use when you pick Margo up, and having done it northbound in clear weather but in rain southbound, I am really hoping to do it southbound in fine weather next week!

Dibnlib – wow!  That much coffee would make me ill, even decaffeinated!  I do hope you will be okay.

Sheila – Hi!  Yes, Son lives in Grantown-on-Spey.  We’ll be there Saturday evening through Wednesday morning.  LG Monday afternoon and quick drop-in at LotL on Wednesday.  We’ve had Goldfinches on the feeders virtually all day – there are so many around, I think they are coming in shifts!

Back from garden – watering done, birds fed and watered, shed, greenhouse and garage properly secured …etc.

Wendy - sadly, the photos are little red crosses at the moment! … correction, went to another page and on return two of them are there – very picturesque!

Well, that has to be all from me until probably Thursday next week.  I hope everyone’s news will be good news.  Look after each other – but you don’t need to be told that, such a lovely bunch of caring people!  Thanks for good wishes for Son and for our holiday.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • O.G. Think piccies are sorted now...how do you fit so much into a day!!!

  • Warning.

Please be on the lookout for a scam email from someone purporting to be o2 (the broadband ISP), asking for you to confirm your details, or your account will be closed. It is of course not genuine. Wearing my Neighbourhood Watch hat, I advised my members accordingly and also passed the info on to o2, who have only sent an automated response so far and did not seem to realise the significance, when I phoned their call centre. I suspect this is a new threat, as there is nothing on Google this evening at 6pm, also I have not received anything from 'o2' as fake emails before.

Everyone should be aware of these types of scams, as they pose a significant financial risk to anyone falling into their trap.

  • Sorry OG, but I have been out all day and therefore I haven't been on here. It looks as if I could be too late but if not, do have a brilliant time and both enjoy yourselves.

Me too!  I've only just had time to come on... Hope you and your OH have a great holiday, OG.
