Morning/evening/whatever/wherever all:

Take a look at the last couple of pages of  yesterday's DU thread to see pix of someone peeking over edge of nest.

  • Thanks for starting the new thread Annette.  I neary started a duplicate but thankfully the email with yours came through before I hit post. LOL.  I wonder who's roosting at the nest.

  • I'm in suspense not knowing who's roosting at the nest.  I did see EJ on the nest just before the night vision cam came on yestarday.  Odin flew into mate just after the night cam was switched on, then flew off, so I wonder if it's EJ who's roosting at the nest.  Then again I could be wrong.

  • Hey Heron: Looks like a duck at this point!

  • Well, EJ and Odin have been flying in and out for the last 20 minutes or so; Odin now off doing what Odin does when he's not at home and EJ is sitting looking out at the world.  I'm off to bed; take care all.

  • Odin has been doing some serious nest work He finally moved the "log" he hauled in and broke a wing feather doing it. So now he has a white flag  on one wing. He has dug the nest cup  so deep the chicks will be full grown before they can  climb out.. How  many chicks is he planning on having this year? LOL  EJ is standing on the top of a hill over looking the nest cup. .  She better hurry and lay her eggs before he digs down to the tree that is  supporting the nest

  • Odin flew in, had another dig and flew off. Is he digging down to DownUnder? I'd be happy to see them here. LOL

  • Back again for HW - stick moving and digging. Away. My, he is restless this morn.

  • Morning all ... both on the nest as I take my first look of the day ... Odin re-arranging the furniture as usual!

  • Hi Joan - There was only one on the nest when I came on - but I'm not sure which, but whoever it was, was very busy indeed!  They are so concentrating on building a nice home for the chicks now.  Although I read on the Blog that they are still finding time for plenty of mating!!!!!!
