Weekly Chat, Sunday March 27, 2011

Morning all; dinner time here - well getting close - off to check the options; back to catch up later.

  • original goldfinch still going through post and have just arrived at the photos from Mersehead.  What a lot of Barnacles.

I am going to pace myself so I don't get too tired although I have to admit the London trip will be the one that makes me the most tired.  I don't really like London much, too noisy and dirty for me.  Our shows are a bit like buses, nothing at all for a while then 2 or 3 together.

  • Good morning Alan was just going to ask about Hamish so pleased to read that he seems to be on the mend.  Same weather forecast for us but at the moment it is drizzlng and still quite windy.

    Margobird

  • morining margobird just come im for a break power washing the pavers down there green from the winter can't believe its a week tomorrow teatime that we had to put casper to sleep

  • Have just caught up with blogs and I know I will have miised some people out so good morning dibnlib and TerryM anyone else I have missed.

Just a snippet re Billy who has been around since irst light and keeping me highly amused.  He seems to have the devil in him today.  For 2 hours he spent his time doing what we call his "naughty things".  Sitting on the bird patio watching the birds who in turn sit in the tree watching him, drinking from the bird bath on the pond wall,  eating the cheese I put out for the birds, despite having his own cheese in a bowl which is with hs food in the box and then sitting on the board we have across part of the pond.  He has now settled down on the carport roof and having a sleep waking up now and again to have a wash.  He really makes OH and I laugh.  First sight of him this morning by OH was that he was sitting on top of the car cleaning his privates.  He will probably sleep most the day now after his exertions this morning.

  • Good morning ALICAT how are you doing.  It doesn't seem possible that the time has passed so quickly.  It will be hard for you tomorrow as you will obviously thinking about it so do eat won't you.  Glad to see you are keeping yourself occupied with different jobs.

  • Hi all Don't know if I've made it before afternoon! - so many posts to read.

Alicat Glad you're feeling a bit better.  I sometimes think we cope better with the deaths of our human friends and relatives.  The only time we've ffound ourselves 'dogless' (one died in March and her daugghter on the following St Valentine's Day) we lasted about a month and then felt we wanted another little friend (ended up with 2, brother and sister).  If you are going to have another wee friend, have you thought of going to your nearest animal sanctuary?  My youngest two came from a sanctuary about 2 miles from us.  Tweed was only 14 weeks old but Indy was between 7 and 15 months - she was hard work for a while but is now a great girl.  I think you would be wise to wait until after your holiday.

OG Sorry to have missed your birthday.  It sounds as if you had a pleasant day - and an Indian takeaway.  What a good idea!

No time to reply to all the posts but I've enjoyed reading.  It's much pleasanter here than on the osprey blog.  Hope it stays that way.

Rushing off now to deal with a few urgent matters in the town centre.  We're waiting to hear if doctor will manage to get out to see Oh who seems to have a chest infection to add to his problems, so will have to scoot round, mobile phone in hand!

  • Alan:   Good to hear that Hamish seems back to his usual self.  If only they could talk, and tell us how they feel.

margo -  did laugh to hear about Billy's antics, he is a real character.  Have bought some clothes for little Sweetpea as an Easter present, but am sure to also take some little board books for him on our trip this weekend!

Must go and do hse.work stuff.

  • patriciat - You overlapped with me - sorry to hear that your OH has a bad chest, hope the Dr. can come and sort it out for you.

  • Mamma g wrote -Paul- thanks for advice but we have tried everything we can thik of, we do have windows7 and other people with windows 7 appear to be having problems

Hi mamma g - I am on Windows 7 and don't seem to have problems.  I also am running a programme called Debut video capture programme where you can take stills and also videos.  It is run by NCH software - just put in debut video capture in google and it will come up with the website. - why don't you give it a try. I can also get realplayer as well. Just a thought.
