I am also sure she has been getting enough to eat because when you read back she has had her fair share of fish. If Garten goes before her that is when Mallachie will come into her own and surprise us all.

I, too, am convinced that Mallachie has the inate ability to fish -- she just needs the motivation to DO IT!! Also, some of us do expect Garten to start the journey first. If she does, that could be the tough love Mallachie needs.
After all, Mallachie too, is a survivor. Remember when she kept sitting back and letting her mum feed Rothes & Garten until often there was none left for Mallachie -- then Mallachie was the first to learn to feed herself!! Remember how protective she was of any fish she came in posession of? I just want her to quit sitting around looking pathetic while garten eats. Be aggressive enough to grab the fish when it is brought in or better yet, go get her own.
I just want ALL our family to make it "there" and back here in due time.

June I hink maybe Garten could leave before Mallachie and then she will come into her own. I think she is just to nice to steal fish at the moment.

Morning all. Well logged on to find Mallachie eating. Yeah! Maybe hasslng with Garten over food just isn't worth the effort (we've all met "birds" like that, right?)
