Hey folks. Barbara Jean, you there?
Thanks Maureen I can see the aerial now. Garten makes me laugh, shuffling around, looking so innocent, "Just looking at your fish M. Who me steal it?"
OK, well hardly a winner, as Alan and/or Simon (?) would say : YOU DECIDE.
Night all!
Empty nest. Time for me to prepare evening meal (4.25 pm Adelaide). Over to the day shift LOL
Mallachie home alone soliciting fish so I assume somebody's 'wee darlin' (not mine in this instance :) ) did steal Mallachie's fish. Not around much today but will keep looking in hoping for pics (! :) ) please.
Yes yes. GE is updated. Mine shows Rothes in France. (expect I was the last to realise)
Can anyone tell me if in GE 'elev' (obviously Elevation) is for the land forms and 'Eye alt' for the height that Rothes is flying at? I just don't believe she flies at zero elevation across water .
New blog folks ... 'Rothes presses on south...'

For those who cannot see the toolbar in Google for touring with Rothes, I think this may be the answer.
If you are not using the latest Google Earth version, which is number Google Earth 5.0.11733.9347then the little toolbar will not be shown. Go to Help in the menu bar and last but one is "Check for updates on-line. Click this and you will be able to download the latest version of Google. You will need administrator rights to do this! Hope this helps. I have just done this and lo and behold! I can now see a natty little toolbar! Liz

Cirrus, 'Eye Alt' is the altitude you have chosed to view from, and will change as you zoom in or out. "elev" is more problematic. It would be nice to think that it was the height at which Rothes is flying, but is generally thought to mean the height above sea level of the landforms. Somewhere, I think it was under 'options', you can select relative to sea level or relative to landforms, but it doesn't seem to make any difference to what is shown. Perhaps it has to be selected when the data is first added to work that way. What you CAN do under 'Options' is choose to have the end of her indicator line extend to her elevation. This will only happen at the very end of the line though (where the bird is shown last), but it will give you some idea.
