Evening all: Been out all day; now starting to think about dinner. Back later to catch up.
Good Morning ALL.
The sun is trying to shine but mostly cloudy.
Annette, Sorry about the strong wind but at least you were able to get some whale counting time in this week.
Cirrus, Good to hear from you. I hope all your computer problems will be solved this week. Enjoy today with your friend.
Auntie, Thanks for your lovely owl links.
OG, Hope things improve re, the workmen. They could be waiting for the rain to stop !
Wendy, Hope you are able to keep to your original plans. I noticed they are forecasting more snow on high ground but plenty of rain elsewhere !
Alan, Hope all goes well at the vets.
Van has reappeared - one of them on his mobile - and now sitting there looking at the roof and discussing while waving their hands about!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG, I presume you have got them working by now, or are they on a teabreak ?
Hi everyone. In terms of the weather its a very miserable morning here. ANNETTE Crufts Champion was on the Scottish news yesterday evening so managed to see him in action.
WENDY safe journey to Bath tomorrow and enjoy your time with your family. Hope to see you on your return.
Afternoon all,
After a lovely springlike day yesterday we are back to the misty, murky weather we had earlier in March. Temp is around 10c so that is not too bad for mid March. Managed to do some gardening yesterday afternoon and washed the car this morning. LadyP is off shopping with her daughter. Just took the Thunderdog out for his afternoon walk.
Dibnlib: Glad you managed to see Jet on the Scottish news. A fine dog.
Wendy : I also hope you have a safe journey down to Bath tomorrow. Its a long drive so I hope you take plenty of breaks.
Annette : Glad you managed to get some time watching for whales. Surprised at you problems with the Panasonic TV as we have had none with ours.
Auntie : Thanks for the links. Not had time to look but will later.
Thanks to everyone else for the chat and pics etc.
Thank you so very much JSB

WC is expected to start on the 17th.
Thanks for replies re sprouting seed.
I looked closely at what was growing and all seemed to be wheat. My last lot of mixed seed contained a lot of wheat whereas I now buy wheat free. The birds don't seem to like it, hence lots of waste on the ground. Even the pigeons and doves weren't eating it. Hopefully, now I have pulled it all up and raked over the gravel I shouldn't have as much sprouting from the new stuff. This seed mix has sunflower hearts and chips rather than whole sunflower seeds too so, fingers crossed, not as much growth this year and I can stick with the gravel.
A grey day here too after yesterday's welcome sunshine. At least it's dry and mild though, so that's something.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Afternoon all just back from another wet walk with Diesel I think I can count on one hand the amount of dry days we have had here since I got him. He doesn't mind the rain and if there is a pudle he enjoys walking thro' it. I have just heard on the scottish news that they are getting snow again in Glasgow.
I also saw the Crufts champion on the news and he didn't seem to be taking it in his stride. In Fife they have 4 dog wardens to cover the whole of Fife and with the cut backs they are reducing it to three so there chances of finding the culprits we don't clean up after their dogs is negligible.
Wendyb hope you have a safe journey tomorrow and have a gourmet meal in Bath on Friday. Hope everyone else keeps well and hope the weather improves in the next fortnight so that the osprey can get settled .
