Yes, Heron but at least Lady's nest is more sheltered than EJ's, sigh . It' s a lovely large fish Lady has - wish EJ would go find breakfast
Hello Bjane, Lynette, Annette
I think all this rotten weather will delay The Laird. He's only a youngster - hope his navigation has found him (maybe) a better and safer route to LoTL. Does anyone know what date he arrived last year?? (Bet Sandy would know)
Cirrus
I looked this up the other day; the Laird got together with Lady on April 4th last year, though of course he may have been in the area, looking for a nest & a female, for a few days before that. He isn't a youngster though - he'd be 11 this year which is middle-aged in osprey terms, though there's no record of him nesting anywhere else.
Hi everyone.Lynette: There's quite a few rain spots on the camera. Glad Marge has breakfast though.Cirrus: The LotL nest looks a lot more sheltered than the LG nest. I suspect that's why EG seems to be off her nest for longer when the weather's bad. I hope she manages to catch a fish soon.Sue C: Thanks for the info on the Laird of the Loch. I hope Laird Frank makes an arrival when this weather calms.Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Sue !!! The Laird, 11 years - crummy I thought all that worry lady went through cos he wouldn't incubate the eggs when she was eating (which is why she wouldn't , often) was because he was a youngster and Lady his first mate. Well, I'm stunned ..... thanks for the info.
Is that Chaffinch !!!!!!!!!!!!! At LoTH or LG (I've got two browsers open) .............. well, despite the weather , he's singing.
What a huge fish! Should last her all day. Still seems to be blowing a gale up there, too, so it can't be easy fishing - what an amazing bird she is.
I've been lurking here for almost a year now, but only now felt able to join the chat. Heading north next week to see Lady and EJ: hopefully the Laird and Odin will have turned up by then too.
Rachel
Hello Rachel and welcome. I envy you heading upt to LG and LoTL please give my respects to both families :)
Good morning all.
I cannot get either cam working on my comp for two day's. The circle keeps going around on one cam and cannot find the 2nd cam :-(
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Oh, misery, Sandy. I'm so sorry. I can't get the Rutland cam but LoTL and LG , very thankfully are OK.
What browser are you using? I use Firefox for LoTL (I.E for LG cos the software for streaming video was only programmed by the Dude who created it for IE so LG video cam won't work in Chrome or Firefox. But LoTL streams just fine (Firefox is a free down load if you wanted to try it).

Sandra: This url is working in Windows 7/IE8/Firefox3.6/Chrome, all working. The Lotl cam2, is the only one they are using for the time being, cam1 is offline. Hope this helps...if not there could be something on your PC causing the problem. Adobe Flash player will not download updates, if certain programs are running in the background, like iPlayer or Warner Bros software. These need to be closed to get the updates. JW Player is not something I know about, but I see the cam2 is using that as well.
