Loch of the Lowes - 2011

Good morning Sandra and I wondered what you had been thinking about LOtL and the new rules.  We are all going to miss all the captures you took, especially first thing every day.  I wonder too whether this will make a difference to the money coming in by way of donations and memberships but of course only time will tell.

Lofty  I did pick up the sarcasm and I too miss the itneraction with other bloggers and Rinchen had such a way with words, he truly painted a picture everytime he blogged.

As I type Lady is sitting on the edge of her nest scanning the skies, looks dry there at the moment but I think she probably had a very wet and windy night.

Good morning all. Anyone else got a problem with Camera 1 at LOTL? I can't get it to load this morning.

Just realised - it's becase they are still using Camera 2! Visited the Loch on Tuesday. The Lady looked in very good health. Doing a great job of fending off other ospreys eyeing up her nest. She was perched on the end of the nest calling a lot when I was there. Looking for the Laid, maybe. 

Looking in and on Cam 2, Lady is on the nest having a preen. She looks great. No sign of Laird.

I have to say (well, I don't have to but I will) that I do miss logging on and seeing the screen captures of Lady from the previous day. Still good to know from all the posts that she's doing well.  Alan mentioned that she'd made the news here in the States - on my favorite morning news program (Morning Edition) on NPR. Followed his link this morning, listened to the very short blurb, then turned on my own radio and heard it again. Lady is an international celebrity!

 

Know what you mean Annette. Still Lady is on the nest at present and having a good groom but no sign of The Laird.

Lady is still on the nest and enjoying time, looking around, hoping Laird might turn up!!

Aren't they just a pervers lot over at LoTL. They boldly say that cam1 will operate from 9am to 5 pm and that cam2 will be from 5pm to 9am ..

It hasn't happened that way yet.

Guess they must be getting rushed off their feet. :-0

Wrinklie think they are trying to confuse us although a short while ago I couldn't get the cam at all but it is back now.  Doesn't look as windy here as it is at Loch Garten.
