Thing is , we don't know what EJ is thinking so I am choosing to believe she is just having a change of scenery!!:)
If she is concerned about Rothes I wish I could tell her Rothes is fine she just left early. Now I can only hope by some miracle their paths cross on their migration. However , Rothes has a huge head start on EJ so unless Rothes has a long rest somewhere that EJ goes she won't encounter her.

Barbara Jean: Birds have very subtle ways of communicating with each other (e.g. birds in a flock all move together without benefit of speech). So it's very possible that EJ knew about Rothes's plan to depart, and she realizes that Rothes is now on migration. Maybe EJ is waiting on the nest to make sure she has a last moment of bonding with Odin before she leaves, or for some other reason. Anyway, I hope this makes you feel a little better.
