6:25 a.m. UK time. Wow. Rothes (I think) flies onto nest followed by Odin (I think) who leaves immediately. Fish is still flapping!
Sue is on FB and says she thinks it's Mallachie. Whoever, she's interested enough in something going on down below that she's ignoring the fish right now.
Back to eating and no interruption from sibs right now.
OK. Maureen is already on the Diary page and she also thinks our chick is Mallachie. Maybe the first chick I saw today was Garten and maybe she did take that fish and is pigging out somewhere safe, but that's purely speculation on my part. Anyway, I'm off to bed. Have a good day folks!
EJ still on nest alone. I find this quite sad. To see her feeding Garten earlier was so lovely but then didn't understand why Garten didn't try to take the fish from her.

09.24 EJ has been on nest alone for some time but now joined by ? and EJ is feeding her.
Garten rejoins her mother and is being fed again. Is this EJ's goodbye?
I think this is her final goodbye, it has been such a well deserved good year for her that she is reluctant to go. Oh I really wish they would all fly together as a family to West Africa- "wouldn't it be lovely"
EJ feeding Mallachie: is this a goodbye too?
09.55 Mallachie finishes feeding - she and EJ share a moment then Mallachie flies off shortly followed by EJ flying off taking the very last (tail fin) of the fish with her.
Really getting to me this morning, my husband went into hospital at at 7.30 for an op - hoping he will be back home today but was feeling a bit iffy, this has made it worse.
