4. 30 a.m. Me again. Sometimes, before I fall into bed, I look at the Groups page and see that my first post of the new day has 6 or 7 replies and get all excited, but then find out it's just me, posting updates! Nest is becoming visible...
Have just put my Poirot moustache on and have deduced that it "appears" EJ brought in the breakfast fish at around 8.10am. She was followed in by an intruder(s) which resulted in a lot of mantling and shrieking by all three chicks, and EJ, who were on the nest waiting for her
All three chicks on the nest now with Garten still eating (don't blame her for getting in 1st today) whilst Mallachie food calls and Rothes, who has just arrived, just watches Garten.
Make the most of today because, unlike Sky+, there isn't a rewind button.
The camera has zoomed out and we find out that Rothes is on the camera post watching, as is Mallachie, Garten eating that juicy fish. Plotting a take over bid? EDIT - looks like it!! Both Mallachie and Rothes are ganging up on Garten and she's getting in a flap....litterally!
Mallachie keeps sattempting to get the fish as Rothes stands back. So far Garten has managed to keep hold of it.
Once again, Paula, many thanks for great images. I was out most of yesterday traipsing around hospital with a long standing friend, waiting around, 'late' appointments ect (I'm sure you know how hospitals go) and then spent rest of day with her and got home very late. So I'm intrigued to hear Garten gave an intruder a 'thumpin'. Atta girl.
Thanks for info re breakfast fish. Good news. But for how much longer we all wonder. Any news of Odin anyone? I'm so relieved to see Mallachie is exploring a little further afield now.

In the blink of an eye a fish carrier comes in, makes the drop and takes off again. I will examine the footage and see if I can ID. Rothes has her fish! It looks a decent size. So that's all three girls fed this morning.
Good morning all and thanks to Annette for keepting us going through the night, sadly I am early to bed and get up quite early but have things I must do before I log in otherwise they will never get done.
PaulaP love the pictures with captions this family are so entertining but I do hope they are going to start fishing for themselves soon. When I first logged I think it was Garten eating again with either Rothes or Mallache watching and waiting. Garten certainly knows how to look after herself and I don't think she will put with any nonsence. I have posted on the Diary page as well but am now starting to look at this page as well so I catch up with anything I have missed. Have a good osprey watching day all and I am so glad they didn't have the weather we had in Poole last night. Poor little Holly had a rotten night. I have to say I had to get up about 3.00 and found it had stopped and we had a glorious full moon. I thought I had left the lights on it was so bright.

We're currently looking at Garten sat on a tree having a good look around her surroundings. I've missed half an hour due to the window cleaner wanting a yap and I now need to catch up on some work. I'm recording so will look in later and report any findings. Not quite "live" reporting but...
