3:14 in UK. Can't even see the white blur of the nest......
Very well done Snowbird ! And now I really MUST get on.
Rothes deigned to leave the smallest part of the fish for Garten to scarf up (as Annette would say) And no, Paula Glorious Garten did not get fed . Rats! Where did the two fish that Rothes and Mallachie ate come from? DID Rothes steal hers from Garten?
All gone now. Maybe I can catch up with myself now!
Make the most of today because, unlike Sky+, there isn't a rewind button.

No, Garten never had it in the first place. It was Rothes up on the post with the fish after all....and some of us were convinced that the two on the nest at the time had aerials. The video prioved me wrong.
The fish came in first thing. I saw the first and it looked like EJ as there was a lot of brown. The only thing unusual about that was that she didn't hang around but it appears she legged it to go and get another fish which when delivered shortly after Rothes took it up to the post to eat.
We now have two sisters sat on a tree together, side by side. One, the nearest to the camera is Mallachie but the other? Hmmm..... I'm guessing Rothes as there's a lot of orange but Garten does also seem to have a fair bit of bronzing going on. The jury is out.
Still can't make up my mind who it is sat with Mallachie but whoever it is it's lovely to see them sat side by side.
UPDATE - Now that she's moved forward...it's Garten! No aerial. Good grief, can you imagine the ID problems if they'd tagged all 3 chicks?! Mind you, I'd have preferred that they had tagged all of them but understand the reasons for this.
I don't think it is too difficult to tell the birds apart. The chicks have white edges to their feathers which the parents don't have. EJ has dark feathers and a golden bib. Odin is very white at the front and head with dark feathers elsewhere.
Rothes has a lovely golden nape of neck and white edged feathers.
Mallachie has a broad white band round her head and white edged feathers.
Garten is a darker bird all round though has the white edged feathers on back and tail region as other chicks.
Garten flies off leaving Mallachie alone on the branch. Mallachie hops onto a lower branch. She looks like she's got ants in her pants...is all fidgety.
Garten has rejoined her sister. Mallachie on the top branch, Garten on the lower.
Sometimes it isn't that easy to distinguish them...different light, angle, too far away...
Oh, there goes Garten.....byee...
Now off to find someone else. Who is it going to be? Ahhh, Garten....sat on a little branch swaying in the breeze.
Now some lovely views of Mallachie as she sits in the tree.
Someone has joined Mallachie on the tree. I think it's Garten but the branch is in the way so I can't say for certain.
