Hi everyone.Welcome to another week. A week that brings us closer to the return of the Ospreys. Hooray!
Happy Sunday!Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
DUNDEE 2 ---- Raith 1. McCann scores the winner in the last minute. YA DANCER!!!!
Just popping in to catch up as had a busy morning and then we went out for lunch at a lovely pub about 2 miles away where they do very good food. At the moment they have an offer of 2 courses for £10.95. OH had whitebait as did I and the he had plaice and chips and I had roast pork with all the trimmings. Couldn't manage a sweet as we were so full. All very nice though and well cooked and presented by extremely nice staff. Of course had a wine and we got home and both fell asleep for al while. Got a nice crusty loaf this morning so at some stage we will have bread and jam for a change.
It has been a lovely day here but tomorrow is looking miserable with yet another wet day forecast.
Talked to my sister this morning and she is bearing up very well. Says she feels extremely tired and has woken up with headache most mornings. They have told her that her head will be sore and touch wood as yet no other unpleasant side effects. She is so cheerful and was making plans to go out shopping with her OH. As she said it will be a change from going to different hospitals as she has been doing. At the end of this treatment they will scan her again to see how the treatment is going. If this fails there is another form of radiotherapy that she can have which is almost like having laser treatment.
Lindybird I hope you have had a delightful day with Sweetpea but such a shame that you are still under the weather a bit. Sensible to shop at M&S for things that are ready and their food is nice.
Gary that video is just gorgeous and I like your commentary. Toffee and your OH really enjoying themselves.
HeatherB it would be so nice if your husband would bring you to LG so we could meet. Pleased you are going to have time away with the family, hope the weather will be decent for you.
Sorry couldn't reply to all but hope you are well and having a good weekend. Normal service will be resumed on Monday when OH is back to work.
Margobird
Hi folks Haven't been able to access anything much for several days as one of my dogs snagged a cable from the laptop, pulled it along and swiped my wireless mouse on to the floor where, of course, it broke. Thank goodness it wasn't the laptop! Had to await an opportunity to go to the computer shop for a replacement.
Alan Glad Dundee beat Raith today - though I couldn't rejoice with you and my OH about Scotland's defeat of Northern Ireland on Wednesday!
Hope all those who have been unwell are now feeling much better. It's a hard time of year for illness.
AQ Our first BC was called Bonnie. She was a Scot from Sutherland and lived to be almost 17.
Gary Toffee is so cute. Glad you are managing to look after her when your OH is away.
Lynette What setting of Ave Verum did you sing? We do the Mozart and the Elgar - both very beautiful but I think the Mozart is my favourite.
George Glad you and Diesel are getting on so well. You must be the ideal person for a rescue dog - they are very special and enjoy the love and attention they've been denied.
Trish2 How did the agility go? Hope you enjoyed running Mia. Don' worry about speed - that comes when you get the confidence to run along yelling like an idiot!
WendyB Cute picture of Daisy May in her bed. She's a lovely girl.
Heather Congratulations to S-i-L on his promotion. Sorry he's likely to have to go back to Afghanistan. It must be so difficult for him and the family, as it is for all service personnel.
Margo I've put a message on your page (I think!). Let me know if you get it.
Hi all, lots of news as usual
Alicat - great shot of the eggs, managed to get a shot just a few mins ago of her turning them (I think)
Alan - lovely shot of the Zurich peregrines - unfortunately I don't seem able to get the cam up successfully so keep em coming
Margobird - so pleased to hear that your sister is bearing up and putting quite a brave face on things. At least the shopping trip will be a change of scene.
Patriaca - Ave Verum - we tend to sing it to the two part version as not enough voices to do the 4 part, but of course Mozarts is the best arrangement. We've now been told we can't do it again as its not on the approved lit.
Just a few pics of the eagle cams around, Norfolk, the chicks at Jordan Lake, nest at the Conservation Centre, Lake Orzaks, and Phoebe's two who are still in the nest.

Thanks Lynette . I was just having a look at the Jordan Lake chicks and they are getting big already:
Renovations going on at the Decorah eagles nest:
Went to coffee morning – saw people we hadn’t seen recently. Then worked in the garden, and when out front saw more people who stopped on their walks (with dogs) to say hello. OH has trimmed the Willow and the Alder, and I was mostly at the back tidying up the Hostas and cleaning around their pots – already making new growth. I also noticed the earliest crocuses are showing colour now, and the back snowdrops, later than the front ones, are also blooming.
Strange to have a phone call this morning from Terry - not used to people from here having voices! We’ve now exchanged mobile numbers to make sure we successfully meet up!
Diane – that is so good to know that your Hawk has survived, and apparently wanted to let you know he was there! Is there a thaw yet? I hope you have been able to get out for fresh supplies – but don’t be catching the flu while you are in town!
Alicat – I agree, really sad news from Newbury racecourse, such unnecessary deaths.
Margo – sorry to hear about your Sister’s headaches, but it sounds like she is really doing very well - and, I believe, over halfway through this set of treatments.
Patricia – pleased you have been able to get back on after the Dog and Mouse incident – was that young Fly by any chance?
Lynette – amazed that Bea and Jay are still “in” - or at least on – the nest!
Ouch, I am so stiff from working in the garden! Must get up and move around a bit.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Hi all taken me ages to get back on here today...not sure what has been going on.
Nice walk aroung Loch Morlich on my own as OH was catching up on his computer course. Went in a hurry via Grantown as I needed to catch the post and in my rush forgot camera. Sunny walk nice scone and coffee and snow on tops but plenty of vegetation showing through. Quiet as few people about so the noise of woodpecker drumming was amazing.
OG enjoy your meet with Terry and if it is like my recent meet with Dibnlib all should be well. I gather you met up last year.
Margo lunch sounds good but there again so does fresh bread and jam.
Couldn't watch the Newbury debarcle...daughter has a horse and it doesn't bare thinking about.
Alan - great pic of the Decorah eagle
Just been showing closeups of her at Norfolk , will post a couple.
Bea and Jay are still on the nest.
Just been watching BigSteveTruck journey.
WendyB . it sounds as though Scotland is in for some more snow, I think they said more the Eastern side!
